It is the playable demo that is released for all the magazines and that to do, not demo as in downloadable. It says in nearlly every article that they are going to play the game, thus a 'demo' or 'demonstration' of what it can really be. I do not think that they will release a consumer version. Those magazine previews state on a number of different occasions that they can't talk about certain things, obviously if we were playing it we would see these things. I doubt we will get a demo also, it never happens really does it a big city would need to cut off with barriers like the driver demo did at one point or burnout paradise it doesn't really work out. And for anyone hoping that a demo of GTA IV will be released to the general public prior to the game release, you should instead hope that Rockstar uses all their resources to make GTA IV the best game ever made, instead of locating some resources on making an uneeded demo.
