im just about to complete san andreas 100% for the 9th time

Twice on the ps2

4 times on the original xbox

Twice on my 360 (just about to make it 3 times)

the first time i completed it took me 4 months this time its taken me just over 8 days

and before any calls me a nerd i play it at nite when everyones asleep (i suffer with a mild case of insomnia, i average 8 to 10 hours sleep a week)

So how many times have you completed it 100% and how long does/did it take you

HolyGrenadeFrenzy

6 100%s

Over the last three+ years.

My "special vehicle collection" is relatively interesting for the last 100%

I am looking at another go after I figure out if some exploits can get a few brand new rides formally and currently unattainable.

I've done it to 100% a few times now (4 or 5).

But I never do it all at one sitting and I don't measure how long I spend playing it to get to 100% each time.

The first time took longer of course. Especially all the time it took to do that BMX challenge and NRG challenge. But now I can usually do those first or second time.

I had done a few runs through the game completing all the main missions before I did my first 100%

About 5 times hundred percents.

2 by using cheats(Oh yeah)

3 by the proper way..

And about 7 times completed the story missions...

I don't know why, but even though its easier and quicker(don't forget definitely funnier) when I use cheats...its still more interesting when I go through without cheats...

even though I have to go through several missions again and again due to failure, its still interesting(some time frustrating)....I love the way I feel when I attain 100% without cheats...when it feels like I really earned it.

8 times without cheats.

I attempted a 9th try, but I got sidetracked in trying to learn how to mod San Andreas, which is taking a lot of time for me.

Unlike Steve Crook, however, each time I go for 100% it usually takes longer, not shorter, because I try to do more things; like collecting rare/unique cars, etc.

For example: for Gray Imports, it'll usually take me hours to complete that mission, so that I can take advantage of the trick that allows you to convert a vehicle to be Fireproof/Explosionproof. I usually convert about a dozen vehicles, and then drive 4 of them to the Doherty garage (for storage), which is still in a locked area, so I have to jump the vehicles into San Fierro and fight my way to the garage.

Well if you must do things the hard way biggrin.gif

BTW what do you do with the rare/unique/FP/EP cars, etc. once you have them?

I did get one of them once, but couldn't really find anywhere that needed them or where it wasn't more fun to use a normal vehicle

Mild? mercie_blink.gif

Never managed 100%. I play on and off, maybe four or five hours a week, got the game around September. Finished the story missions about a month ago, still can't do the first Zero mission, only managed the BMX challenge last week (but I didn't cheat or use a Packer, so I suppose that's something) and I suck at the stadium challenges. And the races.

I sort of suck at the game, I just like playing it colgate.gif

Originally it was just to make the game more challenging, and to collect the BP/EP/DP/FP Tampa, which I missed the first and second time through.

However, it evolved into a 100% saved-game list that I have posted on another forum.

I broke the entire game down into .53% increments; there is a saved-game every time that the Game Progress increased by .53%, the only exception being the Amnu-nation Challenge, which had a 2.14% increase.

People can download any saved-game they need, and they’ll have the special vehicles stored in the garages, unlike other saved-game lists that never do that.

My saved-games don’t have cheats, and I wanted everyone to everyone to experience what these vehicles are like

So, to answer your question: it’s just to share them with everyone. smile.gif

How many times have i beaten the game?  Waaay to many times. Over the few years the count is up to at least 7 or 8. Most on ps2 and once on pc.

Nyjah Huston is awesome. Ive never 100% cus I dont feel like doing some of the stuff.

Yes Nyjah Huston is very awesome. Thanks for noticing that in my sig. I wasnt sure if many people would recognise him.

On topic: I too would just like to add, none of the 7 or so times i had completed the game it was all without cheats/codes etc. Except for the last time i did it on ps2 - I went apesh*t with the amount of AR MAx codes i used. So many good codes i converted for that savefile smile.gif .

Grand Theft Grandpa

Three on XBox, six on PS2. Will be at least 11 once I finish a save I have which is over 90%, and finish one I started yesterday which will be completed to achieve the %13.37 "LEET" for completing all things which are possible in the locked-off areas. NO CHEATS whatsoever.

Wouldn`t mind trying the PC version, but I`d need some major rearrangement of my PC/chair/room to be comfortable playing on a PC for hours. I`m too lazy to do that. dozingoff.gif
