He'll help us throughout the early stages of the game, but eventually will get delusional with power and jealous of Niko's way around the city, and he'll try to have us killed by cutting a deal with the people who he owes money to. MysteryGamer Posted January 20, 2008 Share Posted January 20, 2008 (edited) Well It's obvious that Roman will be kidnapped some how in the game because we see him with Niko in a dark lit basement and Roman is all gagged and tied up. Perhaps to free Roman Niko will have to do certain missions and If he fails Roman will be killed and that would show the consquences in the game like what Rockstar have been hinting at, but It is hard to say how in-deph it will end up being. Maybe one of the missions is to rob the Bank Of Liberty (which we see in the 2nd trailer) so Niko can pay off his cousins debt to the mobsters and free his cousin. " I think robbing the Bank Of Liberty will be a big mission either way and it will probably be much later in the game as Niko will have to use his fists to attack others at first and weaponry will be unavailable for awhile until like the 6th mission or something. Magic_Al Posted January 20, 2008 Share Posted January 20, 2008 I agree that according to GTA formula, if Roman stays loyal he lives, if he turns traitor he dies. If he stays loyal AND gets killed, it turns into a revenge plot and in that case the mission to take revenge should happen immediately, because revenge plots in sandbox games don't feel right if you have time to cool off and do other stuff, as if it doesn't matter when you get around to the revenge. It looks to me like the whole premise of your introduction to Liberty City is that once Niko discovers the reality of Roman's situation, he has to help him get back on his feet.
