Chillay Posted January 20, 2008 Share Posted January 20, 2008 we all remember from SA, how we had to ride a bike to learn the controls, and had to shoot bottles in an alley way to learn the gun controls. What tutorials do u fink we will see with GTA IV and what ones whud you like to see? I honostly think the first thing we do is, get off the boat then drive roman to his home, and as for shooting, i had a hunch its going to be like SA, practice in an alley i wanna see like learning on a motorbike and learn shooting by a gun battle in order to save roman... ur opinions? Who knows what the new features will be? and the game is prolly far along enough that they've gone through all the features in the game. I'm not flaming you specifically because you just had a guess as to what the tutorials would be and excpect feedback while others are still thinking up things that should be in the game, and I think that if they are going to be in the game they're already in there so no sense fretting and debating and flaming and getting flamed. As for the tutorials; Yeah I think they will be along those lines"Push R2 or X to accelerate" Yada Yada maybe even moving on the ship and stuff. The tutorial for a gun will be later in the game but still in the game at some point; sort of like San Andreas, pretty much every mission (Almost) was a tutorial showing all the features, OG Loc chasing showing Vortex and Go-Karts (Exampling that first because that was waaay late in the game.) Speculation and sh*tty realism topics will become a normal thing Anyway the tutorial will teach us the things we don't know. I have a heavy suspicion we'll see control tutorials in which the L1 button will pull up a small menu offering available options for interaction vis a vis the system from the game Bully. I suspect that locking onto a person and pressing the L1 button will pull up this menu with command such as talk, insult, taunt, or who knows what else. To call a cab I wouldn't be surprised to see us press the L1 button when not locked on to bring up options such as "hail a cab" and other options. I also largely expect many items to be interactive and cause changes to pedestrian behavior. For example you might go into a crowded office with a specific, possibly guarded target. So you pull the fire alarm to get closer to the target in the confusion, and then you can take him out with one quick shot, then fight your way back out of the building or hide in the crowd. The standard tutorials will of course apply to everything. The game needs to be accessible to first time players of GTA as well. KidDala Posted January 21, 2008 Share Posted January 21, 2008 I think first they'll teach us about the new(& hopholyy improved) fighting system.Another thing for the tutorial... they'll defintly want to teach us about the new aiming & cover system. Then of course teach us about the new police & carjacking system. Also they'll want to teach us how to hide or camoflauge our stolen vehicle(since there's no more Pay N Sprays according to most sites). Then they'll probally teach us about the cell phone,Then about the internet cafes,and probally other random things like Cabs & Playing Pool. Cant think of any more right now...
