Need any v3 Save from Los Venturas

Hey,

 

So I got all the way to the Mad Dogg mission, and realized because I used some riot cheat (my fiance wanted to see what it did ) I'm kinda screwed. Does anyone have any save game file from around that part of the game that works with v3? I tried loading a few and the game just crashes because, I think, they are v1 or v2 saves.

 

If anyone has any saves from around that part of the game, I would appreciate the help very much. If I have to do those stupid Zero missions again, I think I will shoot someone. I already beat the game once on PS2 and almost entirely on PC now, so restarting would suck.

V3? What's that?

I imagine Version 3. I see people talking about v1 and v2 but not much about v3, but when I open GTA it says "Version 3.00" I really don't know haha. I bought it through "Direct2drive" if that makes a difference...

Version 3 is also being referred to as the "Steam Version". All indications are that v3 is exactly the same as version 2, so you can use any v2 save. Choose carefully, some of the v2 saves are converted from v1 and don't have the proper barriers for v2 and v3. This shouldn't matter for a Madd Dogg save.

 

Or if you'd rather, please upload your save to http://gtasnp.com/ and I'll see what I can do to repair the damage. We've been working on this glitch are are collecting sample saves and gathering information. I think we have all the information needed to repair the damage caused by the Peds Attack Each Other cheat code, but it's still a manual process.

That’s like saying that I bought Version 2.0 from Walmart, and then calling it the ‘Walmart’ version.

There’s no indication that Steam had anything to do with the production or development of the game, they simply sell it.

 

Version 3.0 is just that: Version 3.0

That’s like saying that I bought Version 2.0 from Walmart, and then calling it the ‘Walmart’ version.

That's coz v3 isn't available in stores. It can be only downloaded off Steam or Direct2Drive.

 

Another thing that I've noticed is that many v3 users are complaining about crashes or black screen during the mission 'Are You Going to San Fierro?' I wonder if this is the fault of R*, Steam or the user..??

Thanks for the help! I found a v2 save right where I left off that saved me HOURS of grinding back to that spot.

 

I didn't have any crash on the "Are you going to San Fiero" mission. However, I must say that San Andres has been the most crash-happy game I have played on the computer for some time. If I hit escape at an off moment (pretty much if I hit it before coming to a complete stop) my mouse buttons stop responding in the Menu screen. I can still get back to the game (sometimes) if I hit "enter" when having "Resume Game" highlighted but other times it stops responding with an empty black screen and I have to ctrl+alt+del to close it manually.

 

I am using Vista, which may be the issue, but it is pretty annoying. It's all fun and games if I'm just going around blowing stuff up for fun, but when it crashes when I am in the middle of a mission, it makes me a saaaad saaaaad panda.
