Im guessing you will drown after a while it seems the more realistic option.

Zombified Jake
I hope when he gets out, you will see the effects it made on he's clothes, like in Uncharted.

Yeah, I saw a video of that and it looked amazing. (Can't play it though, I have an Xbox 360)

And to anyone here, I have never played Vice City Stories and you are saying that you drown after a while. How long?

Yeah Of course swimming is going to be in the game!i!i Every Game Starting From San Andreas Has Had Swimming---Remember S.A I'm Like Driving Suddenly I fell Into One Of The Rivers So I'm Mad 'Oh man' I'm Waiting For The Wasted 2 Come Up And Then Don't Tell Mr You Can Actually Swim So I Got Out Of The Car And Swam. Good Feature, At Least You Weren't Scared While Near The Ocean And Lakes.....Then Came Scarface, With The Beautiful Scenario Too Realistic, Who Knew The Waters Of Miami Were Filled Man Flesh Eating Sharks, Every Time You Started To Swim A Little Too Long You We're Eaten By Sharks.....But Nothing Beats The Swimming And Effects Of Uncharted, Even In The Cut Scenes Beautiful. When He Gets In The Water He Gets All Wet And You Can Actually See The Dripping, And The Kool Thing Is That When You Walk In A Pool Of Water Where Only You're Feet Are In Thats The Only Part Where It Gets Wet So Yup Its Realistic Hopefully GTA IV Has Similarities To Uncharted.

Think it could be a good way of making Niko not able to go into the other areas (Assuming areas are locked at the start of the game), simply making him drown...

Yeah, although they said we could swim to the statue of happiness, so i doubt it will be like LCS where you drown. Good thought though. icon14.gif

Well, did they say when you'd be able to?

And, I'm thinking more like cheasy animation at the same exact place every time...

Untill you unlock that area...

1. Drown after a while is realistic?

2. Ever heard of the "Your ideas" topic?

1. If you swim for 48 hours in a row, you'll drown... So, yes, realistic...

2. I think he meant Questions, not ideas...

It will probably be better than swimming constantly forever. You can t sprint forever so what makes you think we wont see the same for swimming. rolleyes.gif

Whats 'your ideas' topic.

It would seem logical for Niko's swim meter to decrease while underwater as opposed to just swimming level with it. That said, in real life, it's virtually impossible to stay in deep water without losing energy, so I hope R* do something about that while still keeping it a steady and enjoyable feature.

i think that in GTA IV when you swim on the surface of the water it is very hard to drown if you stay afloat but as your body wears out and tires than you won't be able to hold your self up in the water thus you wil drown thats what it should be like in GTA IV
