Confused about assets

Does all property you buy generate a certain amount of money? Or is it only the little blue house icons infront of property that generates revenue. I just got the revenue thing for doing Zero's mission chain and was wondering how to get more

The blue house icon means that you cannot buy the property as of yet. You can buy it only after it turns green.

 

All purchased properties do not generate money.

Zero's RC Shop, Wang Autos and Verdant Meadows airstrip are the only properties that generate money on successful completion of missions related to them.

 

Also, after you finish all storyline missions, you'll find a money generating icon in front of CJ's house in Ganton. The total amount of money increases as you capture more number of territories.

One last question, do I have to go to each location to pick up the money, or can it all be sent to like my hideout?

To collect the money you have to go around to each asset location and pick it up regualerley. It will normal generate between 2000$ and 10000$, so make sure to pick it up often.

You have to visit each location to collect the money. The money generating process is slow, so collect it only after it has reached it's max value. When an asset is acquired, the game will tell you the max money that the property will generate.

Although I get them all generating money I don't usually bother to collect it because by the time I get them generating any money I have a few million and what they generate looks like small change

You can do Courier Missions for Roboi's Food Mart in Los Santos (with a BMX), for Hippy Shopper in San Fierro (with a Freeway) and for Burger Shot in Las Venturas (with a Faggio). You trigger the mission by getting into those vehicles outside of each location. You need to throw packages into coronas in these missions.

I take it that you haven't completed the game 100%. There are three courier missions in SA - one in each city. These are hidden i.e. there is no marker indicating the mission. The 3 courier mission points are Roboi's Food Mart in LS, Hippy Shopper in SF and Burger Shot in LV.

Roboi's Food Mart has a BMX in front of it. Hop on it to start the mission.

Hippy Shopper has a Freeway in front of it. Hop on it to start the mission.

Burger Shot has a Faggio in front of it. Hop on it to start the mission.

Completing the valet mission in Financial generates $2000 a day outside of the hotel too.

As does completing 8 Truck Missions and 7 Quarry missions. $2000 will spawn at the truckyard and the quarry respectively.
