gtame 0
Black Flag pretty much pioneered sludgy hardcore punk with My War. Definitely my favourite album of theirs, and is partially responsible for the greatness of the Melvins. yeah...cause Bad Brains didn't do that in 1977. Yeah, they didn't. In fact, they never played sludgy hardcore. Since when is there even a genre called 'Sludgy Hardcore' IMO I think you're pulling sh*t out of your ass so you sound like you f*ckin know something. EDIT: if you google 'Sludgy Hardcore' the first link you get is to the Victory Records website, pointing to The Warriors. Victory Records hosts such other 'talents' as: Comeback Kid, Thursday, Silverstein, and Bury Your Dead. And among other mass produced post-hardcore mall kid music. There is such thing as sludge punk. Example: Dystopia. f*cking amazing. EDIT: lol'[email protected] kid who said that punk is just about the music. Edited February 22, 2008 by gtame
XN22 3
Where the f*ck have you been? I know you've been on AIM and sh*t, but why'd you leave here? ...My Jerry's Kids and Bad Brains vinyl still haven't come in the mail.
gtame 0
The new kids that come here got to me eventually. I dunno, it got old sifting through fifty posts of bullsh*t in order to find one decent member. Plus I've been having some other sh*t in my real life to worry about. I mean, I got accepted into college, which I'm happy about, but that means I also have to get a job soon so I can pay rent because I'm not gonna be getting financial assistance. I've been really busy too starting up and working with some groups and doing a lot of organizing, so my time gets sucked up, but on top of that a couple of my close friends have become homeless, back on smack, all kinds of bullsh*t like that, so I just wasn't thinking much about coming on GTAF. Everything kind of relaxed, though, and things are starting to get back on track, so... here I am. Edited February 22, 2008 by gtame
XN22 3
f*cking classic. Does anyone listen to Terror? They rule. edit: That's not them in the video, obviously. Edited February 24, 2008 by XN22
Scarface187 222
f*cking classic. Does anyone listen to Terror? They rule. Weren't they on the Jedi Mind Tricks 'Heavy Metal Kings' remix? I've yet to hear that though.
XN22 3
Yeah, it's pretty good. My friend told me about a show of theirs that he went to in a church basement, where motherf*ckers were throwing kids through tables. Crazy sh*t, but it's nothing compared to what Hellfest 03 and 04 were. Or any show Bad Luck 13 has ever played. Their music sucks, but the shows are always crazy. Do you expect any less from a wrestling gimmick band?

ISd3d 0
That was before that skinhead got stomped out, right? Yea? I remember seeing some skinheads there actually. With f*ckin doc martins with white laces in them. The singer from Merauder was calling them out and sh*t. I remember he said something to the effect of "skinheads don't f*ckin belong here, get the f*ck out."
XN22 3
I remember reading something about one of them getting f*cked up real bad before/during the Bad Luck set, but I can't see it on the DVD.

Mullen 3
Some HC bands that I discovered last week: Lockjaw Sheer Terror Dynamo (There's a couple of sh*tty european bands who also use this name. The one that I'm talking about is, I think, from NY) Fearless Iranians from Hell God's Will Murphy's Law The Icemen Subterranean Kids (spanish band) Wipe Out Skaters (spanish band) Chronic Sick Proletariat @Laz: their Sold Out EP, I love it to death. Statutory Ray 1
I f*cking love Gang Green. On a similar note, Poison Idea is also pretty f*ckin' good. Yeah they could actually play their instruments well, which was a somewhat unheard of concept for most punk bands around that time. Also, Kings of Punk is probably one of my favorite album covers. Edit: Flag-Smasher is the most punk super villain ever. Edited March 4, 2008 by Statutory Ray

The Minutemen would like a word with you. as for the album cover, reminds me of Edward Colver's Hatred Is Purity, taken backstage somewhere in 82 Edited March 9, 2008 by XN22

outcest 5
anybody going to Rainfest? 'tis guaranteed to be a tea party of sorts. Ceremony live man? f*ckin...a friend of a friend saw them play a year or so back, and just...started punching himself in the face midway through the set. like, just straight up pounding his nose in. crazy sh*t. lead singer is also the most primal and predatory man known to walk these earths. Trash Talk is pretty brutal to boot.
Scarface187 222
Misfits covering black flag Ha, thats funny. I just watched that last night. Pretty awesome. I like how half the audience ran on stage. That being said I think Bad Brains are knocking The Misfits off as my favorite punk band. Oh and is Suicidal Tendencies alright to talk about in here? f*cking awesome band.

Oh and is Suicidal Tendencies alright to talk about in here? f*cking awesome band. I think it depends what time we are talking, they turned their music in to Heavy Metal, which is fine to me, but they were great as Skate-Punk. Anyways, I'm going to a Subhumans concert soon, that will be great. I listen to all punk music, but I just love the Anarchy Punk style.
