Yep, they're from Berkeley, like Green Day. The Offspring and Weezer, also, are semi-punk bands from California, you could be thinking 'bout those.

Huge fan of anything Mark McCoy does. I think Failures was his last musical project and they haven't released anything, correct me if I'm wrong.

This thread needs bumping, the fact that threads like "Indie Music thread" & "Van halens New Song" is on the 1st page but this isn't disturbs me somewhat.

Have some f*cking DISORDER!

Skindred are cool, they're Welsh.

She ain't no human being, David Icke was right! lol.gif, j/k MI5

that's like folk music to me, tounge.gif, nah I'm kidding, but it does stink of local,

but, I guess that's okay, I guess.

You could post some "crust", and be in the right main genre, really, but yeah, activity in the Music section ain't what it once was, even then, it's always seemed rather slow in here, I personally don't get it, music is a passion in life

I was covering Dayglo in the Metal thread, but follow this bit O' Refresher on the history, if you're a newb

@Wreckless, nothing wrong with the new Van Halen, rock has a longer history then most any current music form, perhaps Country of course! haha

I met one of the biggest influences in my life last night, Greg Ginn. I smoked a joint with him, and my girlfriend bought him a couple of beers. He was also nice enough to sign a seven inch that I own.

You guys heard about Harley who used to be in Cro-Mags? Stabbed their bassist and someone else and bit someone backstage at a SOIA/Cro-Mags gig. Thankfully there was no fatalities, but what the f*ck? He's probably going to be getting done for attempted murder or some sh*t now.

King Mystery

I don't know if this has already been posted, but I recently found this pretty good punk band, The Explosion. They broke up a few years ago, but they still have good music, whether or not it's new.

My favorite song of theirs:

Another good band I found recently. They're not the most punk band out there, but I guess you could at least consider them pop-punk or something like that. The singer is actually Billie Joe from Green Day, and the guitarist is Jason White who plays live with them. But no Tre Cool or Mike Dirnt here.

My only problem with them is that a majority of the songs are too short...

They also did a pretty good cover of Big Yellow Taxi. It's one of my favorites out there.

Let The Dominoes Fall is a terrible album. I love Rancid (1993), Lets Go and ...And Out Come The Wolves. I'll be watching them next week at Rebellion festival and in December when they tour the UK.

Speaking of Rebellion, anyone going this year? The line up is ace.

Well, it's definitely not their best... but it has its share of good songs.

Rancid were awesome at Rebellion last night, by far one of the best live bands I've ever seen.

Double posting is necessary here, this thread needs to be on the front page!

I've been listening to lots of folk punk lately, always liked a bit of Mischief Brew and Andrew Jackson Jihad but over the past 8 months or so I've been listening to a lot of Pat The Bunny's bands like Johnny Hobo & The Freight Trains, Wingnut Dishwashers Union and Ramshackle Glory.

This music is so catchy and in many ways relevant to me.

Here's a lad we bumped into at Rebellion festival, he's a busker and plays folk punk music similair to the above artists. He spent the weekend sat outside busking and getting wrecked with some Romanian hitch hikers, lol.

I love Street Dogs, seen them live a couple of times, Mike is awesome, Dropkick Murphys were best with him!

3,000 Miles Away is a good tune, not really heard any of their new stuff though, don't think they will be the same without Nico on vocals.

Anyway, have a random tune from Manchester based Punk band Revenge Of The Psychotronic Man
