I only went to the London one because I missed the Blackpool date. It's about 1/50 the size and is only on for one day. Was still a good day though. Blackpool this year though, the full thing.

Seen them too. Jim Pursey isn't with them anymore, but they still manage to put on a good show. See them if you're a fan. If not, you might be put off by the lack of the original singer. Great to sing along too, especially with a few friends and a drink in hand.

Meh, I never knew about that blush.gif I wouldn't watch them without Pursey.

Being the Droogs that we are, we usually spent the beginning of our evenings hanging out in the Korova Milkbar, planning the events of the evening to come as we pour the drinks down our dry thoughts. The Korova Milk Bar couldn't afford it's liquor license so now it sold milk plus Drencrom, or Synthmesc, which will sharpened you up for a bit of the ol' ultraviolence. After slowly finishing off our drinks containing this magical white substance we move on to the planning of whatever night of sado-sexual escapades, Including the usual beatings, pillaging, mayhem, break-ins and rape we could come up with. Us teenaged boys, wearing zoned-out, pathological expressions on our faces and assuming arrogant poses, are preparing to go on a rampage.

Visually, we are harshly backlit and project elongated shadows are ahead of us as we walk through the darkened streets with billy clubs, wearing white trousers and white suspenders to match, black combat boots and derbies. Every night, we commit stylized but to the general public meaningless acts of terrorism including the old in-out, in-out, robbery, and mugging.

This is the night, the night of the Droogs......

I went to Camden Town on Saturday. Went to Resurrection Records and managed to pick up "Ha Ha" by Charged G.B.H. on Vinyl. Only £9.95. My first vinyl and all.

Eh, Camden isn't as "punk" as you'd think it is. Like every other commercial district in the world, Camden Town corresponds to the latest fashions and trends. Whatever is popular at the time is what you're most likely to find when you go there. At the moment, the majority of Camden's stock is made up of emo/scene clothing.

The most punk thing you'll find there is the punks holding up signs and handing out fliers.

I'm counting down the days until April 15th, when MDC is playing in Richmond, along with Mouth Sewn Shut. I haven't been this excited for a show in years.

I'm seeing both those bands at Rebellion this year... Wait, all three. Flogging Molly are playing as well. tounge.gif

My only problem with thing like Rebellion is that seeing a band on a gigantic stage doesn't even come close to seeing them in a small dive bar.

Eh, most people I know don't so much go for the music, as the atmosphere. I don't think you can find another place on earth with so many punks and skins getting on for one whole weekend. There's always stalls, events and other sh*t going on around the centre stages.

Just recently discovered this band called 'Rise Against'. Holy sh*t do they rock.

exactly.

i don't know about you large venue lovin f*cks, but I personally love being able to climb the stage and dive off, or being able to jump up and scream along, or get hit in the head with the mic stand as it falls over for then 67th time within a 45 minute show.

There isn't any dive bars anywhere near me mad.gif , but the bands who are at the rebellion (minus The Exploited) are brilliant. You can still jump around and go mental at big venues. I couldn't care less unless a good band is playing and people aren't just stood still like fags.

Looks like I'm going to Warped Tour this year. The Exploited are actually playing the entire tour. I've wanted to see them for years, they were one of the first punk bands I got into.

The Exploited played back in 2005 here in Dallas, a local rockabilly band opened for them, which was real weird, anyway they pretty much just played Punks not Dead from front to back then left...it was disappointing.

I'd be fine with them playing Punk's not Dead in it's entirety. I know every song on that album. The only song I like out of all their thrash sh*t is Beat the Bastards, hopefully they'll play that.

I dont like the exploited, they're a bunch of c*nts. The song only song that I can tolerate by them is Chaos is my life. Punks not dead is just shocking, as for f*ck a mod, wtf is that crap about? Thats the most "un-punk" thing to do is go around beating people and "jumping on their heads" due to their social outlook.

Its not as If I go around going "Oh look, theres an emo, lets make a song about causing physical violence to him because he looks different to me". The Exploited are a bunch of bigots.

Punk Isn't anything other than music, Anything else is just a stereotype of the people who generally listen to it. If it was though that would pretty much be my definition of it.

On topic though, I f*cking love the exploited. My favorite songs are Dogs of war, UK82, Sex & Violence, Alternative & Class War. Dogs of war was one the LP that i found in my attic that got me into punk in the first place, Ace song

I prefer the original by The Vibrator's. I'm annoyed now too. I just found out that they played here two years ago, in a really small venue, and the tickets were really cheap. Wish I'd known about it. angry.gif

You really love bringing up your hate for the Exploited, don't you? I dislike plenty of bands but I don't feel the need to bring it up. I believe the song "f*ck a mod" is just "taking the piss out" of mods not promoting violence.

I also like the Exploited. Anyone else heard the single version of "Alternative" (atleast thats what its called on my computer.) imo it sounds hell of alot better than the one they put on the album.

I believe this is the one I have

I actually prefer the other version, Don't like the drums in that one.

anyhow, do any of you like pre-Boots&Braces/Voice of Brittan Skrewdriver? f*cking great band imo, way underrated. I think it's kinda sad that Ian reformed the band into an NF band with the same name which kinda ruined the original bands reputation whatsthat.gif

Here's a vid with my favorite songs with 'em, Uploaded it myself smile.gif

Skrewdriver - I don't like you/Antisocial/(too much) Confusion/Where's It Gonna End:

Speaking of Underrated, I can't believe i haven't listened to 999 until now. Great band, way better than the pistols or any other of those crap bands.

"Made A Fool Of You" is one of their better songs as well, couldn't find it though. Maybe I'll upload it as well if i can be arsed tounge.gif

You wouldn't believe how much better those songs sound live! I like 999, but I can't really listen to them on record, I prefer them live. I've seen them twice now (once at Rebellion London and again at Bridgehouse 2).

They put on a really good show. Nick Cash has still got it. He puts everything into his performance, which is something you don't see from most '77 bands these days.

My favourite song by them has to be "Nasty, Nasty" great sing along chorus.
