pinky
Here is the release of the Aircraft instruments I have been working on. What you get. 4:3 aspect monitor. Widescreen monitor. Airspeed is in Knots, altitude is in feet. The Radar altitude tells you the exact height above the ground below, works with buildings too. Main altitude is height from sea level. Aircraft health, when last red led disappears you better bail out sharpish. Gear up and down indication for those who like to use inside view all the time. Autopilot, so you can sit back and enjoy looking at the scenery while heading for your chosen destination. All the relevant controls are in the read me, so read it. http://tjbp.net/upload/AirInstPublic1c.zip Download and install this asi loader as well, this should alleviate most peoples problems. http://www.gtatools.com/filedb/action.php?action=file&id=19 Remember that the Hoodlum US exe is the only one supported but others may well work. Enjoy them, pinky. Edited January 22, 2008 by pinky

Mark
Incredible work mate, I love how realistically the altimeter works, quite worrying to see it plummet as fast as it does in a dive! Pilot's worst nightmare . Well calibrated ASI too...mind you as you say, has to work off true airspeed due to not having any wind! Hmm...I'm thinking...any way any landing aids could be scripted? I wonder if SA is up to the job of a VASI... maybe we can get ParoXum to look at installing one in GPHQ .
Taste Of Chaos
Great stuff mate! I loved your Thunderbolt - Rustler replacement and your MiG 15 mods, one more to add to the collection! Thanks. Have you put the txd file in the correct folder, this is a sign that you probably havent. The Oldair.txd goes in the txd folder within the model folder in the main game directory. Make sure that is the case, usually if it is a Cleo problem it would have crashed long before you even got ingame.
GamerShotgun
Well, i've put the texture dictionary file exactly in the models/txd folder, and it still crashes at me. What executable are you using? Cus i'll try the mod with an other crack if it's related to the Hoodlum version.
scc208
eemm , i think is it because the mod doesn't support hoodlum version? i've put the files in correct folder and checked for a few times.. or is it because some mods affect it? I have a few vehicle mods in my game, don't know they will affect this aircraft mod or not, however i haven't changed the script and main.scm. k0ster
hmm yeah mine does that to im afraid, but when i installed it in Ghostown it worked without a hitch, only in me 2 other 'default' GTA's it doesnt work..

Have you installed the Cleo asi correctly when first installing Sannybuilder? Could be the asi loader, try using the one from Dexxs GFX hack or Ghostown. Still sounds txd related though as it should crash before you enter the game if it is exe or cleo related. Make sure the cleo asi is dated 17/11/2007. Tennesse
can I use 4 or 5 .cs files in the cleo folder at once or does it crash my sh*t like it did so far?

You should be able to use lots and lots, I have about 40 in use. Try this link for the new asi loader. http://www.gtatools.com/filedb/action.php?action=file&id=19 Unpack and place it in the root folder of your SA I cant say if multiple SA installs are compatible or not, probably looking for the txd directory in the wrong place. I don't know if multiple SA installs work, I only use one and that is Gostown at the moment. One of my testers has put it into A fresh US SA and the only hitch he had was to put the txd in the wrong place. That caused the crash when entering aircraft. Mark
I've whacked this on my games twice (once on an automatically installed Gostown asi, other one on a manually installed DexX gfx hack) and it works fine on both. I'm using a Hoodlum US .exe as that's the only way to get DexX's gfx hack working anyway, I must admit I haven't tried it with my standard EU .exe supplied with the game, the Hoodlum EU .exe, or any other No-CD .exes. pinky
I have tried out the other asi loader and it works okay, it did give a brief pause before loading up the instruments though. This leads me to believe it is the asi loader. So here it is again in case you missed it. http://www.gtatools.com/filedb/action.php?action=file&id=19 Unpack and paste into your Main SA root directory and it should overwrite the current asi loader supplied by Sannybuilder. I will make an updated read me once this has been proven a little further. Other than that I am out of ideas and you are out of luck.

GamerShotgun
Tried 3 other executables = Fail. Used the 1.0 Hoodlum US exe with Delfi's Asiloader = Fail Tried to set my game's resolution in 32 bit = Fail Tried to install the texture dictionary in other directories [Like models, cleo and such] = Fail... Just to let you know, i've put the oldair.txd file to my models/txd folder and the game crashes. I don't know why this is happening :S Every other cleo script works on my game, but this isn't. You did use the updated Cleo v3.03 from the SannyBuilder site too didnt you? Unless the file is too large for lower spec GFX cards, I run an 8800Ultra so I cant vouch for anything else although Aurons card isnt that high spec. What RAM are you running as well? The file is 2,456 kb in size, maybe the load up is whats killing it for you. Edited January 19, 2008 by pinky
GamerShotgun
I've installed the newest version of Sanny Builder, and chose the option of installing the Cleo3 Library to my San Andreas installation folder. pinky
I've installed the newest version of Sanny Builder, and chose the option of installing the Cleo3 Library to my San Andreas installation folder. I've totally did what the readme file/you said. Hang in there, I will try a test code out with time spacing to load up the instruments, meantime try this older version to see if it works. http://www.tjbp.net/upload/AirInst1.zip Take out the oldair cs from your cleo folder just now and just put in one of the truespeed cs(only one mind) and see what happens. You should get a speed display(only numbers) on the right hand side of your screen. Then try the oldair.cs from that folder and see what happens. My only other suggestion is to re download the file as the txd may be corrupted. Edited January 19, 2008 by pinky

pinky
Hmm, it works Let's see if the new version works after a redownload Certainly crashes without the txd in the right place anyway, just tried it. Probably the same with corrupt files. Anyone else any problems? If so fire away as I do like to get things working for you. Maybe this is related to my ATI graphics card?:S I don't think so...i'll try to adjust my driver settings though.
