The developers could put extra time into it and stuff. With the new previews coming out next week, THE EXTRA effort Rockstar has put into the game will show tremendously. What you don't realize is this: Rockstar didn't finish the game, then delay it so they could 'make it better' They delayed it so they could make it as good as they said it would be. It won't be any better than they already planned. So they're not using these 6 months to add in 'features' and make pretty graphics. They're making the game. But see ,in the first kikizo preview, the rockstar rep. said"Actually, textures is one of the last things we put in" so...... So even if it did come out, I wouldn't have been able to play it anyway. I have a PS3 now, and all I can do is twiddle my thumbs, like everyone else. One I liked the sound of but nothing worth a terrible ammount of stress. Let them delay it, they'll probably delay it again (I'm betting until August) but what does it matter? Unfinished textures, choppy framerate, clipping issues, unpolished graphics. The delay was the best move Rockstar ever made. Now the game is going to be as best as possible. I was pretty gutted, disappointed that the game was pushed back but considering the game is being released on the XBOX 360 and Playstation 3 and they have been developed for individually it was perhaps expected in a way, this is the first time Rockstar North are using next-gen technology on a Grand Theft Auto title so difficulties were perhaps inevitable to some degree. The good news is that the game will finally be in our possession in just over 3 months at the most from now I am more than convinced the wait will be worth it. 2pac_stoffe Posted January 19, 2008 Share Posted January 19, 2008 when i saw the news i was like "damn..." then the anger grew more when they wouldn't show anything, to describe the feeling: it was like walking in an desert 10 times bigger than Sahara... and then when the boxart and trailer came out it was like i found some water... now it's kinda dry but i can see some water, i think it tastes like preview... When the release date is announced i will seriously party like Ron Burgundy in Anchorman... chrisisking Posted January 19, 2008 Share Posted January 19, 2008 This Q reminds me of the time I was in my local games store and talking to the fella behind the counter and talking about GTAIV (this was early 07) and I said "I bet they delay it till 08 as its only been worked on for a few years!" and he said "No it will be out this year cos GTA is always a oct release" and he also said if there is any news or a delay they will let us know in some kind o games meeting/showing that was happening the next day (maybe E3 can't remember). So I started believing and thinking "gr8 the new GTA is coming this year and I'll be getting it at xmas with my PS3! But can I really handle the wait from oct-dec?" But looks like I didn't have to worry at all as its not coming out till early this year. As for my anger and dissapointment ove the delays well I can safely say that I never got as wound up as some of the guys on here but I have been as excited before which is usually caused by spending a long amount of times on these forums and seeing trailers. There was a time about 2 weeks ago when I was like "R* f*ckING RELEASE IT PLEASE!!!!" But I'm cool now and I'm glad that the fellas at R* made the brave yet smart move of delaying it to complete the dream they and now we have about this game. As for hype? well I never was going mad about it early last year, only just starting coming on here and reading up about new info at the end of 07 so thats when any real excitment or dissapointment happened and I'm glad to say its more excitment so far. I know if they could R* would have GTA4 in are hands right now. If R* keeps putting new previews, game play trailers, and screen shots out then I can wait.
