Don Garcia aka NjNakedSnake
Story leaves me hanging. A new Gov., and old Gov., hitmen and special ops. Guess I got some reading to do.
Vercetti21
Plot: A new government has toppled the old government wants its power back and now the whole country is thrown into a whirlwind of internal struggles. As the new government tries to impose strict regulations on crimes and such, the old government wants control back so it send men to try to take them out. At the same time, revolutionaries go to try to take them down to take over the country and rule it for the people. The revolutionies hate all types of governement and will probably fight off old and new government. Over seeing what is going on, The US sends special forces to try to keep the situation controlled from full out civil war. The US then realizes other countries are trying to capitalize on this situation and are sending mercenaries to ensure the eruption of civil war. Meanwhile, a few hitmen roam around the country and nobody knows why. There's the plot, I believe. There may have been some tweaking since this was posted. We divided the people into different "factions": US Spec-ops Mercenaries Revolutionaries Hitmen/Mafiosi Choose a team you want to write for. Also, the country is Columbia. Gabriel Constantin
Like I said, I'll happily take the role of an Revolutionary. It'd be an interesting point of view to write from, and it'd be a happy break from the all-out warfare of the other factions. The Revolutionaries will have to rely on Guerrilla Warfare, because we wont have a powerful army to fight with.
Vercetti21
I'm going to stick with US Spec-ops.
Land Of Confusion
I think I'm going to do revolutionary as well, its a nice break from the whole generic bad-ass stealth ops kind of thing. Plus, I love the underdog .
Vercetti21
Actually, I figured the Mercenaries and Hitmen would be the more "bad-assy" characters. I thought the Spec-ops were more of just the "good guys", who only want to restore peace.
Don Garcia aka NjNakedSnake
How will the writing be? What format, etc?
Vercetti21
We haven't decided yet between first or third person, but I think most people are leaning towards third. Past tense. And narrative form rather than script.
Gabriel Constantin
I'm going to compile a list of teams then, so far we have: Spec-Ops:Vercetti21 Revolutionaries:Gabriel Constantin Land Of Confusion Mercenaries: Hitmen: Just quote my post, and add yourself to the appropriate list once you've decided which faction you want to fight for. Oxidizer
I thought the Spec-ops were more of just the "good guys", who only want to restore peace. Apart from one, depending whether it's allowed/will work. I wanna write a hitman posing as a spec-op to get to the target. That okay or not? Oxidizer
Is this thing gonna have a certain amount of chapters or is it gonna be a continual[?] thing till we're all either out of ideas or get jaded of it? 'Cause I'm curious how the plot's gonna work, seeing as it's quite hard to write a story without knowing the ending first, if this is gonna have a planned number of chapters. Gabriel Constantin
I think a set number of chapters would be better.
Land Of Confusion
I agree, because if we did it just until we got Jaded, we most likely would not end it, because we were sick of doing it.

Land Of Confusion
The difficult question is; who's going to win? I doubt anyone will win. Usually when this many parties have a stake in things, and there is so much to win and lose, almost everyone dies, because that is how it would really happen. Oxidizer
We're gonna have to plot this thing out in order to get it done solidly.
Gabriel Constantin
We could even go for the ending no-one expects, and have the New Governmental Soldiers kill off all of the opposition and remain in power. :lol
