Stefan.
I am down for a new topic. When will it begin? Should we try and lure more people here?
Oxidizer
No further movement in 24 hours. Should I be worried?
Cubanwhip
No new topics. This topic is for planning out the entire story. We'll only make a new topic when we've planned out the story and are ready to start writing chapters.
Stefan.
Alright, who wants to start planning?
Oxidizer
Good question. I vote someone who's not me. xD
Oblivionz
Well first we need to make sure everybody is active before we start anything.
Land Of Confusion
I'm up for it.
Vercetti21
We are planning. We've figured the plot out for the most part, and we've picked teams. We know the first chapter will be used for character introductions. What else is there to do before the story gets underway?
Oblivionz
Make sure everyone is active, and make sure everybody knows the plot.
Oxidizer
That's a good starter - but we're gonna need to build storylines, character arcs (not necessary), know how it's gonna end etc. I don't think we're anywhere near getting this actually written yet. Oblivionz
I don't think we're anywhere near getting this actually written yet. You're one to talk about getting things written! Hopefully we can start this soon, though.

TubbyJ
I don't think we're anywhere near getting this actually written yet. I agree, we have a lot of planning to do before hand.
TubbyJ
Sorry for the double-post, but I've gotta bump this topic just for the sake of not letting all our planning go to waste. C'mon, let's get back on it.
Cubanwhip
What is going down so far: Plot: A new government has taken out the old government of a dystopian Columbia. The new government imposes strict regulations against crime and the old government wants to lead the country once again. Hiring mercenaries to take out the new government, the old government has no idea about the boiling conflicts within the country. The revolutionaries want to take out all forms of government and set up a government for the people, by the people. The US, seeing the boiling conflicts starting in Columbia, send Spec Op teams to ensure a war does not erupt and cause the next World War. Meanwhile, hitmen roam the country with their sole purpose being to take out the new leader and personal benefits. Hired by whom, nobody knows, but their job isn't to get involved, it's in and out, but it's not going to be easy. Point-Of-View Third Person Teams: Spec-Ops: VCHolmes Chickstick Revolutionaries: Gabriel Constantin Land Of Confusion Don Garcia aka NjNakedSnake Mercenaries: Vercetti21 TubbyJ Stefan Matovic Cvetkovic Hitmen: Oxidizer Oblivionz Cubanwhip Chapter 1:Each person gives background on their character. Important details, not minor, unimportant facts. Country, purpose, etc. Each person gets one paragraph? Two? How many? Keep in mind that their's so far nine people. Better idea: Four chapters. Each for each group. Spec OPs intro. chap. Mercenaries intro. chap. etc. Edited February 5, 2008 by Cubanwhip
Land Of Confusion
I'm thinking at bare minimum 3-4 paragraph per chapter per group, so we can actually have some room.

Oxidizer
Alright. I think understand, which should be seen as a remarkable achievement, seeing as I've only half a brain-cell in my head and I'm not even blonde anymore. I think *gets zapped* I like where this stuff is going. Only I'm uncertain about the hitmen's role in all of this - seeing as they've got no known purpose - does that mean we make those agendas up? Or... Other than that, excellent, dawgz.
Chickstick
Only I'm uncertain about the hitmen's role in all of this - seeing as they've got no known purpose - does that mean we make those agendas up? Or... The hitmen's purpose is to make money. They've been hired by someone (do you really need to reveal who?) to take out the new leader.
Vercetti21
I thought the hitmen's purpose was to fight against the new government's crackdown on crime... a survival technique or something. Though I guess that would only work if they were part of the Columbian mafia.
Chickstick
I thought the hitmen's purpose was to fight against the new government's crackdown on crime... a survival technique or something. I'm not sure what we actually agreed on earlier in the topic, but that's a good idea. Looks like I'll have to read the whole thing again to get up to speed... Don Garcia aka NjNakedSnake
If I'd only have to write a paragraph or two, and not a full-blown essay everytime, I'd like to join this project, as a revolutionary. If I can't join, that's cool.
Cubanwhip
If I'd only have to write a paragraph or two, and not a full-blown essay everytime, I'd like to join this project, as a revolutionary. If I can't join, that's cool. But Don...can't you see? You are the revolutionaries. **EDIT: Added I thought the hitmen's purpose was to fight against the new government's crackdown on crime... a survival technique or something. I thought we agreed that the hitmen were sent by seperate countries to eliminate the new leader. Their sole purpose is to kill the leader and not get involved, but since the entire country is in turmoil, they have to do whatever they can to eliminate their target, which may lead to playing sides. But I don't know if that will complicated things.
Stefan.
Hold on, am I allowed to switch sides? I am not one to do this, but I would like to switch to the Hitmen, please. If I cannot, do not worry. By the way, if I am a mercenary, am I allowed to be a different nationality then Colombian? Or do I have to be Colombian.
Chickstick
Hold on, am I allowed to switch sides? I'm not sure really. I recall us agreeing earlier that each side would have three people at most, and there's already three hitmen.
Cubanwhip
Yeah, we agreed to only have three for each side, because it might get lopsided with more people on one side than another, so three was the magic number, so 12 people would be writing all together at most. Also, with the Mercenary, I think they don't have to be Columbian. They can come from different places, but they work for the old Columbian government to take out the new one. Vercetti21
You could switch to Spec-ops, considering it only has two people, but as they said I don't think you have much of a choice.
Stefan.
Alright then. I am happy to stick with the mercenaries, considering I do not have to be Colombian. I am not racist against Colombains or anything, but I have my ideas in my mind on the nationality of my character.
Oxidizer
Is this still happening, or...? Nice signature BTW, Stefan.
