Indeed, William James Sidis falls in there too. But that's not always the case...and there's no excuse for it. Have you heard the Filipino radio broadcast he did a few years back? Rarely in my life have I heard a tirade laced with such hatred and blind bigotry as was heard in that f*ckin' litany of his. Such a shame that he lost his mind and spent his twilight years wasting away in Iceland. And for anyone who might be interested, here's a great chess website. It's a database full of move-by-move breakdowns of chess matches. All the great players are on there including Fischer. He was stellar in his matches against the Byrnes. And much of the time he was healthy he used to hang at some bookstore in downtown Reykjavík. So yeah as some1 said here in other words, there is a very thin red line between genius and insanity.
