But do you think that R* basically changed everything you knew about GTA and made it a completely new game? Do you still think it will feel like a GTA game? I don't think that it will feel anything like the old GTA's we have played. I think it will feel like were playing a totally new franchise, but for the better. What do you think? You start out in a part of the map you don't know and then look around a little before you go to the first mission mark. San Andreas did this really well, whenever I opened the map for the first time I was shocked at how big it was. (ok maybe wont blow your mind, but you get my drift) It depends, it may take a while for you to feel like your playing GTA. Beacause this game is next era it shoudlnt have to match the others, its going to be way better its going to set its own bar, so in several years we will be saying i hope the next GTA feels like IV (we would have forgotten about EraIII) Ok now im waffling, peace Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Slamman Posted January 21, 2008 Share Posted January 21, 2008 With the abundance I see of joke topics making a come back, this thread seems more legit then most I've seen in some time. I commented several times on the graphics end... but as I and we await for it's eventual RELEASE... I don't know about you, but I've enjoyed my favorite next gen game and finding what I like and dislike about it... If you've read my posts, you know I refer to Uncharted on PS3... The more I keep playing it, I find the control design and play is really better then GTA, I say that because I am playing GTAs as well as I wait. It's such a glaring gap I actually hope the game itself infuses many of the things that makes Uncharted a real thrill to play, for me. I also want many game traits to remain but playing the PS2 titles, I see what makes those editions really date fast in the light of next gen possibilities! I found the car control as such, more annoying each time I come back to them... This should be refined, but how much?? I hope more then expected. Cars really float and slide in past games with little control in reality. I'd hope that AFTER 4 is released the game can still evolve in a manner that is like GTA 3 to San Andreas on one system, however unlikely!
