Steve Crook
I was doing the Unique Jumps on the motorbike and for a few of them I used the "lean forward, head down" approach to go even faster on the run up. But I noticed that I wasn't getting awarded it as a UJ, even though I had gone further than usual along the correct route. e.g. The jump across the river, towards the west, from just south of the Malibu Club. I started in the yard by the water towers a usual. I zoomed towards the ramp with my head down, hit kit square and flew across the river landing quite some way into the grassy area. But no UJ awarded When I did it again without the head down approach I cleared the river and landed on the wooden walkway, maybe just touching the grass. UJ awarded Is it possible to jump too far when trying for a UJ? It seems like it is and that sometimes the landing spot is quite specific Steve
Lega_c
I believe it is possible..but then again i hardly ever jump too far.
Rhoda
I always used to to do it in San Andreas while using an NRG, but I can't recall ever having overshot a unique jump on Vice City. I believe it's possible though. As an alternative, try not leaving yourself such a run up, and try hitting it at different angles, though not so much of a different angle that you deviate off course. I managed to do them all when I first played, and that was before I discovered the "duck down to go faster" trick. I guess I'll just go back to that for the UJs, maybe duck down a couple of times to speed up just a little bit Steve
Spuds725
It is certainly possible to go over the targets, but not very likely-- you were likely off to the side one way or the other on the water jump next to the Malibu... Here are the target coronas for unique jumps.... Spuds725
For that particular jump, an easy way to get this is to use the curved wall at that sharp turn in a car-- it aims you right at the ramp and the target. Get any fast car-- Comet, cheetah, infernus, etc... Go north of the Malibu a few blocks and turn around... head south.... as you approach the curve, get over on the left side and up on the sidewalk... when you get to the curve, do NOT turn the car... just keep flooring it and the wall there will aim you right at the ramp. As long as you don't hit some of the traffic at that curve (a big pain) this jump registers very easily. I've use this method with a bike too... it is harder- you do have to turn the bike on the curve but I still got it to work Spuds' GTA V 100% Checklist // My IV & Vice City Videos "I want to design a video game where you take care of all the people shot in all the other video games....
