Spazifool Posted January 18, 2008 Share Posted January 18, 2008 Hey guys I was curious, Does anyone know if the Military will not be in the game, I have a feeling they wont be chasing you down with Tanks in Liberty City this time around, If this is true what do you think would Replace the 6 Stars(Rings)...or Maybe its just 5 Stars(Rings) now? Like a simple *You are now wanted by Police* *You are no longer wanted by Police* Basically, having Police chase you when in the streets after a minor felony. SWAT raiding you if you have ran inside a building. Military evacuating the streets if you have stolen an Apache. And the place the cops will be looking for you in, will have a different colour on the map too... I suppose the place where you commited the crime will be larger, depending on the crime you've commited.. (thereby making it harder to escape) Off-topic: How do I get my spell check back? Imagine new damage models, like running over a car with a tank and not just see the windshield cracked or instant explosion, but you can crush it totally. It's Grand Theft AUTO. If this is the case, then I figure it will be pretty damn hard to stay alive for a prolonged amount of time with a six-star wanted level. This is my opinion which follows and I doubt it will be a popular one. The military should come back and with the new and improved AI, it would be more enjoyable, less 'obvious', more discreet. Taking you down would be their 'mission'. The AI would more than certainly be capable of prowessing over the GTA III canon's counterparts...look at the NOOSE team in trailer two. I think that with a six-star level Liberty City should be put under martial law. In a time of martial law the military runs the place. To depict martial law in Liberty City, the whole city will be in the red radius. As I said, it's just an opinion and likely not a popular one. That way, you, being an unarmed civilian with a Mini Cooper compared to the Military Forces, are practically screwed. Hey, maybe if you get too out of hand, if thats possible, the SASR might get a call! But really, how are meant to fend off teams and teams of SWAT, car after car of Federal grade police cars and limited ammo? You'll need to stock pile tons of ammunition in the back of a car which, although hopefully not, explodes under heavy fire, which you will be. Your car will get beat up and no matter how fast it is, you should be caught up to by cop cars specifically designed for high speed chases, IF Rockstar stays as close to the Crime Sim factor as I hope they are. I hope that Crime will be no piece of chocolate mud cake any more, and by the way that the previews are going, they look to be on track! YES!
