I find most who intend on lying in their posts go too over the top with the details which catches them out. haha yeah like awhile back on gamespot some person claimed he knew a guy at rockstar that told him you could mug people in the game, you could get mugged, and nikos not the charecter youl be playing as, the ammount of people that belived him was just rediculous Bugger, I must have missed that one. This is believable, although it could be a misinterpretation to think a tester being done means testing is done. Even if testing were done it may only be for one platform or one phase of development. I expected about 50/50 fake/thanks comments, so it's cool that some people just enjoy the fact I shared a bit of news. Lincoln is in Lincolnshire mate, Nottingham is in Nottinghamshire. But it's only about an hours drive. As for it being tested because of network or internet features, I'm not so sure. The Lincoln facility is pretty much the hub of testing, it's a dedicated facility. http://www.rockstarlincoln.com/ Interestingly, I just traced myself back on line, googling my login name here, along with "Lincoln", and it goes back to my youtube, which goes back to my blog, which goes back to my photobucket, so it's pretty easy to see I'm genuine. Incidentaly, Lincoln city centre is absolutely covered in Rockstar logo stickers, they get given out to the testers... I'll try and take a collage of photos one day. If ceedot didn't slander you, you must be telling the truth. It's good to know that IV is nearing the end of its beta-testing cycle. Good on the tester for not actually giving anything out, though if he wanted to avoid the hassle of all the people asking him for info he might have wanted to reconsider telling people he was a tester to begin with. Maybe that's just the way the company operates, has one group beta test for X months, then brings in set of fresh eyes to do a final review, etc. I imagine that if I had people testing a game I'd want a fresh set of eyes every now and then just to be safe.
