I have the DVD version of SA and after installing the game then installing some saved game files and installing a modded police car the game crashes when trying to load a "saved" game or "new" game. I know that I shouldn't patch the game in order to use mods so I have left it at 1.0 but I would like to know firstly how to get save games to work (D/L from other people) and how to install cars properly, apart from using the GTA IMG TOOL..How do you modify the handling for SA? ceedj Posted January 17, 2008 Share Posted January 17, 2008 Are you sure you have v1.0? Does the game box say Second Edition on it? Try running it without the downloaded save files. Also try it without the police car first. Handling can be modified with Notepad or Cereb's* Handling Editor. (* Apologies if I mangled it; you hardly ever post here anymore!) Now how is this for strange?? a quick check in the program/rockstar folder shows a readme.txt file ver 1.0 BUT on the DVD in the enu folder is reads version 2.0 The DVD/ box shows no sign of version 2 except for a year 2005-2007 Is there any other way to tell what version it is?
