Decisive Chief Posted January 16, 2008 Share Posted January 16, 2008 Now Just Cause 2 is set to come out this year but my experience with the first game is not too good i mean yeh it was there first ever game. But if you would take down enemies buildings they would be exactly the same The fighting was horrible But the reason i got the game was because some fuss was made over it and the fact i could jump out of planes and paraglide sounded cool so i was wondering what are your thoughts on the upcoming Just Cause 2 ,i for one WONT be buying it Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

And 2 will be great, its a brand new island, not overly huge but with more stunty goodness and obviously it will be proper next gen unlinke JC1 which wasn't on the 360, basically a port. I am sorry but did you play the 360 version at all? I can assure you it looked like nothing I'd ever seen on previous consoles, JC on PS2 looked horrible and didn't compare to the 360 version. Sure now JC looks a bit dated compared COD4, PGR4, Assassins Creed etc. but back in 2006 it was stunning. Still looking pretty means nothing when everything else lacked as was the case regardless of what console it was on. It wasn't really a full next gen game, graphics wise it may of, but when playing it thats all it was, it looked pretty but didn't play like a next gen game. In Just Cause all the fun comes from exploring and doing.....nothing. Some stunts maybe. I play it occasionally, but I hope Just Cause 2 will be a lot better. Good things: Big ass map Awesome draw distance when flying Innovative weaponry Cutscenes looked pretty cool Bad things: Car handling was terrible Story was repetitive Liberations were the same, exactly the same. I was asking if anyone else had a problem with that game. Eidos suck balls. NO support, no patches for Just Cause. Who the f*ck would buy it then? It only looked good on the 360, but it still is a terrible game, horrible physics and the water and sunlight is over contrasted and saturated. pyramid head Posted January 19, 2008 Share Posted January 19, 2008 Bad things about just cause 1 that have to be fixed for just cause 2 The driving controls have x be accelerate and saqure reverse instead of R1 being accelerate and L1 being reverse. Vehicles should have radio stations it gets boring when you have nothing to listen to while driving to an objective. The camera was terrible and would almost always look the other way in the middle of a firefight. The ability to run which should have been included in just cause 1 better be included in JC2 the cars should stop when you walk in front of them so you can get into them any time i tried getting into a car it always knocked me down if the above is fixed for JC2 i'll consider buying it Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Seddo Posted January 31, 2008 Share Posted January 31, 2008 I played Just Cause 1 and it was ok, the only problem was that the map was to massive and nothing to do in it and trying to travel across the map with no vehicle was one of the biggest pain in the arses in gaming history. Just Cause 2 seems to have improved a lot, so i'm thinking of buying getting it on release, i just hope you don't have to take over all those thousands of territories again like the first game.
