josh995
Do you think enough copies will be in stores for the initial release? Or do you think stores will run out, and leave people waiting? Of course, us people with pre-orders won't have anything to worry about! I'm just looking for your opinions. My opinion is... I think their will be enough copies made, but I think some stores will run out.
KillerKabel
Any store with respect for it self will have enough copies...
gta-guru
very very few(probrably none) games actually run out of copies at launch now-in-days. Just in case I fully paid for my copy a long time ago
CookPassBabtridge
yep, i basically second that. Theres no way on earth a store would short-change itself like that. Plus there are so many places, both physical and online to buy it, a sell out in one store is unlikely
TheTruePiMs
Just before the release of San Andreas, everybody told that there'd be not enough copies, but actually, there was enough copies for everybody (at least in my city in France !) ilya
If you want the Special Edition, I think you should definitely pre-order. The regular edition shouldn't be a problem at all like people say. Edited December 6, 2017 by Grae
Jobbie
Well I dont need to worry i can buy the game a couple of days before release Just like I have with every other big title this year!!
Grand Theft Columbo
I guess that's the good thing about being an adult, you can go out and get a copy any ol' time you want. I'm one of those people who's at the store at midnight the day before waiting for them to be put out. I have a feeling I'll be getting there a little earlier this year. You can always count on one store having a copy in your town or the next. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming.
Emm Ell
The majority of game-selling stores have experience with GTA and it's sales, they shouldn't run out,but it's always possible.
mcgriz
Normally it's not a problem; I can't remember what game it was now, but a few years ago in the UK so few copies of a game came to our shores on the release date that even people with pre-orders didn't get it on the day, or maybe this was a console - anyone know/remember? I know that once I come on here Ima find out something I rather would of LOVED to find out myself. Im not risking it. Boombastic
Pre-ordering here. Probably'll end up like the Wii in England. *Shudders about all the people who haven't pre-ordered*
V1ce C1ty
well i gotten most gtas on the release, and when i got san andreas, i went to my local store and this was at like 8am. i looked round the games section and found one copy left . So I guess i will have to go at the midnight release for this one . Otherwise I would of had to wait like my friend did for san andreas around 3-4 days for the next batch . Of course, us people with pre-orders won't have anything to worry about! I'm just looking for your opinions. My opinion is... I think their will be enough copies made, but I think some stores will run out. Important Information: When you pre-order a game, it's in no way a guarantee that you will get a copy of the game, it's really just saying to whom ever you ordered it from to order an extra copy - but there have been instances where people who pre-ordered it weren't able to get the game or movie they wanted because the stores ran out. ---------------------------- However, will the game ship in small quantities? I doubt it, When San Andreas came out, I had a pre-order and yet when I went to the store (Wal-Mart) during my lunch hour, around 12:15pm they still hadn't even taken them out of the box they were shipped in, in fact, as I arrived, they were barely bringing it onto the floor. MorticianENG
^ About the pre-orders, they don't really mean anything. You've just payed £5 to say I'll buy it from your store for certain. A paying customer is of more value to them. Pre-order online is a different story though. GAME always get my titles to my door a day before release. Hopefully Argos didn't learn from their last mistake with Halo 3 though... That's what I'm saying, a lot of people are thinking that with a pre-order that you are guaranteed a copy of the game, and unfortunately, they're not. Well yeah, if you pay for the game in full then they better be getting it for sure, I'd be pissed if I wasnt.
Ronmar The Only
Pre-orders are pretty much guaranteed for those who do it pretty far in advance and generally if a game doesn't ship enough copies, pre-orders will be given out first. I order my special edition soon after it was announced so I know I will get mine. Personally I remember back whenever III came out and the first few moments it was sold out at most places I went to.
