Gouveia
Hey guys. When I tried to login from a computer that didn't had my account in the cookies/cache, it doesn't logins. I insert the login and the password, but when I press "enter", the password field goes blank and it takes me to another screen, where it makes me login again, and doesn't login again. I'm sure I'm in GTAF, not some site from some hacker to get your password. I don't know why that happens. I use Mozilla Firefox on that machine. Svip
After you get the "second" login screen, do you try again? And if so, what happens then? Do you get any kind of message?
Berkley
Try with Mozilla or Opera. If you're trying with IE, it's obvious that it always screws up. I have uninstalled IE.

No, the password field just becomes blank, and it says I didn't type the password. Although here on my home I can post, because I have the passwords on the cookies/cache. Try with Mozilla or Opera. If you're trying with IE, it's obvious that it always screws up. I have uninstalled IE.Well, I'm using Mozilla. I get this error with both Mozilla and IE. Hm... it goes blank as you hit the submit button or when you unfocus the password field? This could easily mean a faulty javascript code or some weird behaviour on your side. Tried carefully avoiding the field blanking?

Tried carefully avoiding the field blanking? It goes blank when I click Submit or press enter, not when I unfocus. But I tried a way and it worked. Just press submit, quickly enter it again and press enter. Yeah, bunch of work, but works Faulty Java? Maybe
Andrew
You're not the only problem, I've been getting this for ages. I type username and password into the Quick log in box, and press login, I then get a login error. Saying username / password is in correct. Funny thing is, it doesn't do it on a really slow machine. Solaris 10 on a sun blade 150. Hasn't done it on any of the ones in the sun computer lab, using firefox. But on the new window xp machines in the other computer labs, it does have the problem. liesofsilence
Maybe you should try using the log in link instead of the quick login box, seeing as that turns blank if you have an accidental wrong click.

What difference does it make? An error in quick login takes you to the other login link anyways. I too have had this problem, but it isn't of a bother to me since I use the 'Remember Me' option. So, that could be an option too.
derty
You're not the only problem, I've been getting this for ages. I've had it since I opened my account on November first. I have this core of Extensions, usually I have a lot more, but right now it's lite: FlashBlock Imagebot default Dom Inspector DownloadHelper These are 4 very popular things to see in people's extensions, and maybe since I have only these four installed right now, perhaps everyone experiencing this also has at least one of these installed? I tripped out a few times about this, wondered why. I actually *guessed* that it has something to do with FF2.0.0.11 password manager, nice to know that with a topic about this, a cause may be found. derty shuffles off to read the rest of the topic I too have had this problem, but it isn't of a bother to me since I use the 'Remember Me' option. I use this option as well, it still blanks my PW feild. What browser do YOU use? If it is FF, is it 2.0.0.11? Do you NOT have ANY of those extensions I named? I am only capitalizing to be very clear for communication's sake, no worries. Edited January 17, 2008 by derty

Even back when I used Firefox, I didn't have any problems except for the fact that I didn't have any of the plugins that you mentioned.
Svip
I just did a test of it in Firefox (note: I use 3.0b3pre) and it worked fine, on both windows. I use the follow extensions; •AAAAA •Adblock •BugMeNot •Canvas 3D •Console2 •DOM Inspector •Extension Developer •Firebug •Flashblock •Fuzzy Time •Google Notebook •Image Zoom •Nightly Tester Tools •Server Spy •ShowIP •Stop-or-Reload Button •Stylish •Web Developer It should be noted that Minefield (Firefox 3.0 pre) uses the Window Manager's icons/themes rather than its own. Also, I am on Linux. But that should not be worthy mentioning. And lastly; does this only happen on this site or does it happen everywhere? Trivia: I only used this opportunity to list my extensions, hehe
Andrew
It only appears on this site when using the quick login box. It doesn't appear to do it when the computer runs really slow, ie the sunblade 150's are slow as sh*t.
Deuce Deuce
I have uninstalled IE. Lies. As far as I know, Windows won't let you as it's a default program.
