I take that back. We might not be the biggest, but wed be the most loyalist. 

 

The UK are the biggest fanbase in proportion to population over any other country because between 60-70 million people make up 25% of GTA sales, North America of over 290-300+ million people only make up 50% of GTA sales in comparison. Europe is a bigger target market given the enlargement of the EU to include eastern european countries, but the average income levels in the majority of European countries are well below those of the UK, France, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, etc. The US and Canada in reality is the larger market for gaming because the consumers are much more affluent, see the CIA factbook or the UN website for more details.

I thought you were implying that the north american market are the biggest fans when clearly they aren't holding the side up quite as well as the UK.

As far as Im concerned I dont care which market is the largest. I just know that fansites (used internationally and not restricted to only those in America) are loyal; as implied by the word *fan*site.

I think the reason that the United States gets the first taste of new releases is because most of the game companies are based in the United States, so it would make much more sense to launch a title there.

Not GTA. Rockstar is a brittish company always has been always will be.

 

But US does produce more income for companies.

 

#1- North America= 2007 - $9.1 (estimated)

#2- Europe= 2007 - $7.5 (estimated)

#3- Japan= 2007 - $3.1 (estimated)

 

All numbers are in billions of US dollars.

I would say America or Asia

wouldnt be asia because the 360 and the ps3 are failing there. asians hate american companys and the majority cant afford a PS3
