outcest Posted January 16, 2008 Share Posted January 16, 2008 So basically I volunteer at my local punk/hardcore/ska hall, and we put on a show every other Saturday. I just recently joined, and March 8th is the first show that I've set up on my own, and because of that, I thought I'd try to at least make the poster look semi-decent. Sadly, I lack the Photoshop skills to do this myself, and instead of sh*tting out an abortion of a promo, I turn to you fine graphateers in my time of need. You may think I just want to take your poster and say it's my own, but I insist that I have no intention of doing that, simply because I don't receive any monetary benefit or prize for promoting my show well, and if I did say it was mine, I'd probably be asked to make posters again...something I'm not too keen on. I hope someone can help me out here. Name: There are various things I need included on the poster in terms of print, and they are the following: - The band names, in order of headliners to supporters: Los Furios, The Easy Brothers, Ninjaspy, and Vagrants On Parade. (These should be most prominent out of all the text) - Date: Saturday, March 8th, doors @ 7:00 pm - Location: Seylynn Hall, 605 Mountain Highway, North Vancouver (the venue should be somewhat prominent as well) - Extra: No Booze, No Drugs, No Jerks Size: Width 500px, Height 779px Theme: This one I suppose you can be creative with. The bands are all ska, if that helps at all, but you can put skeletons and corny graveyards or just creative color schemes on, I couldn't care. Be happy in knowing that I'll almost definitely accept the poster as long as it's not extremely, like, really poorly Photoshopped so much so that I could do better with MS Paint. Resources: None. Colors: The poster is going to be copied a hundred times, so color isnt too important. Additional info: None. I hope I'm not too vague, and really, any help would be sexy. Reincarnated, the (the venue should be somewhat prominent as well) was just a guideline, I didnt want it included on the actual poster. I dig the Walt Jabsco pic, Gabriel. sick, but you spelled "Ninjaspy" wrong. Mind editing it? any more would be appreciated. I'm using any posters I'm given; variety is a plus.
