FatLouie Posted January 15, 2008 Share Posted January 15, 2008 In about 2-3 months from now my fellow GTA fans and I will be standing at the counter at an EBgames or Gamestop to pickup our copy of IV. Once you put down that $59.99 or $89.99 you just purchased your own city. A city up until the day it is first put into your XBOX360 or PS3 hasn't experienced such a threat as Niko Bellic. You have the power to execute whomever you want, to cause as much mayhem and destruction as you want and to run things your way. My question to you guys is, how will you run YOUR liberty city? For me, I will try to lay low and blend unless I am threatened. I will stay in the shadows unless I feel that a certain ped or cop is putting my freedom or awareness in jeopardy. Sure I have certain Pet peeves that I might take extreme measures on for instiance, if people have the ability to talk on the cell phone while driving I will pretty much blow their brains out because I cant stand people who do that. Sure i will beat the crap outta a few people to check out the fighting system. Stab a few here in there..Shoot a few.. But i know one thing. If we can mug people and rob stores and houses, and if there is a calendar in the game, then i will declare Thursday, "Rob yo ass Thursday". Im goin around every neighborhood and rob as many stores and houses as i can, before the day is over with.(ingame day) I remember in SA before it was released, it was said that you could sell your stolen goods at a pawn shop, and bargain for a better price. LCM Posted January 15, 2008 Share Posted January 15, 2008 I usually kick some serious bot to see what the fighting is like after a brief feel for the controls. Perhaps shoot someone, too. Then explore a bit, get a feel for the driving controls etc. Then head onto the first mission. Careful not to rush things though, I like to take my time. Therefore, I won't run it much. Finest Posted January 16, 2008 Share Posted January 16, 2008 I will be a vigilante (not do vigilante missions) I will go out, walk, drive, run, swim and if someone is being attacked or car jacked I will jump in and help the victim. I will also make sure I'm having fun by taking the car I want driving the way I want or just doing whatever I will let no one stand in my way. If I break laws and the PD comes after me I will surrender (unless its a mission I will just run, and never shoot a PO). You do realize that you will lose all weapons and armor by surrendering. Plus the cops probably wont arrest you. Cops on GTA generally go or the kill or beat you to the ground. NEVER SURRENDER!!! All sorts of things will interest me at one time or another. I'll... Stalk around in the dangerous neighborhoods (I hope R* makes them feel that way) at night. Hail cabs and hit up places like Times Square Star Junction and the Statue of a-Penis, like a tourist. Go on rampages and lash, loot, and laugh at everything that gets in my way. When I first enter the world, I'll definitely be the ideal tourist who's trying to find his way around and get a feel of the place. After getting comfortable, I'll really try to get into character and play like I am in a living, breathing world (I hate the sims, but in GTA there's truly something special there), with occasional spasms of fist flying, flame filled, and bullet ridden insanity. I won't be any one thing for the entire time I'm playing. I'll shift back and forth from the Ruler to a humble resident of LC, and all points in between. Should be good. The way I act in the IV will be dependant on the mood i'm in. It's GREAT therapy! On that note, A good way to execute people is to run them over while going slow, park on them so that there upperbody is visible and only there lower body is being crushed. Firdt off I will test out the fighting system, beating the crap out of the poor bastard who happens to be nearest to where I start the game. After getting the beating out of my system I would steal a car and have the cops chase me, slowing down to where they get out and swarm the vehicle. After luring the cops into my trap I would drive in the most creative way possible to run over as many as I could so that I could get out and be able to have some ammunation to play with. Like if i wanted to snipe somebody on the heavy populated streets of Algonquin. It'll be like the movie Phonebooth (hey a mission like that would be cool). I'll go in an apartment window, and just snipe him and then run inside the house, only to hear the people screaming outside. You know what would be cool. If there was a character you met, and he gave you your phone number, but you hate him.
