Spazifool
It's a really cool idea, but if the "shooting someone through a window" thing is gonna happen, it's only gonna be in the cut scenes. About the bullet traveling further when you shot someone can be done. But i dont think the bodymass of the guy you're shooting will be calculated. So the bullet will only travel a pre-set distance. Yeah it would be a cool idea, but like he said it probably wont happen
phs1234
Not through windows into a person, through a person into another person/ window/ wall. In every video game, when you walk up to a bad guy (or innocent) and discharge your trusty service revolver directly into his spleen, the bullet stops IN him, does not travel through. If we are looking towards realism (or just for fun) wouldn't it be interesting if that .357 you unloaded into grocery-carrying-grandma two feet away, continued, after tearing into to, to rip into the ped standing behind? Thats what I meant... I know in Godfather you could throw people through windows, and I think you could also shoot a person and make them fall out of the window. GSF_Sniper
What do you guys think the force of the rocket launcher will be like? Could it possibly just ya know...make the other person go "BOOM", leaving all kinds of body parts and various organ intrals on the pavement? Nabbesnabb
I'd like to see people fly in the air when shot point blank with a high power weapon ( shotgun, magnum, etc. ). Like , for instance , you shoot someone at close range with a shotgun in front of a store window , that person should go fly through the window pane and shater it. OR if I shoot someone close range with a magnum, the bullet should go through that person and continue it's course. What do you think ? Will the physic engine allow that , or is it too much to ask for ? I know there's a physics engine out there called DMM ( for Digital Molecular Matter ) but I don't know if R* will use it. You've watched too much Matrix. If this game is going for realism, and it's using euphoria, there will be no flying people from a bullet. Bullets doesn't make people fly, only in Max Payne and Matrix. If you don't belive me watch Mythbusters, where they shoot their doll Busters from like point blank with a shotgun, and he just shakes a bit. And yeah, like the swedish guy said, for a gun to have enough force to make a guy fly on impact from the bullet, it would also make the guy with the gun fly backwards when shooting. Not even rocket launchers has that much power. ^^ The closest thing to flying backwards in reality is that when hit by a bullet a person will probably step back or forth and writhe in pain before falling to the ground. Would probably get annoying at some point if you constantly got thrown backwards into walls and over edges when shooting. ^^ Edited January 16, 2008 by Nabbesnabb

rockaustin
I don't want realistic reactions because it won't be as fun. Seeing someone fly through a window would be awesome.

Jobbie
MythBusters has proved that the person flying back is impossible to do, they shot their test dummy with a 50 caliber and he dropped where he stood, no flying back at all. It's probably not going to happen. That is a stupid thing to say!!! I know R* said thay wanted it to be realistic but i dont think they watched that episode of mythbusters and decided that havving peds flying around would silly. IMO having bodys flying through windows after i have shot them with a shotty would be cool and just because it dosnt happen in real life, isnt going to change my mind! phs1234
Well you may not fly backwards, but don't stand there and tell me you're gonna get hit with a shotty and not move. I want to see debilitating injuries. Shoot a ped in the foot, he cant walk on it. Arm, he cant move it well. etc.
ceedot
It would be awesome. Movie style. Great effects, and endless gameplay, with just killing people.
GANGSTA_GRILLZ
i personally think that if you shoot someone close range with a shotgun, desert eagle, sniper rifle etc..... that their head should rip open. not like SA but more like JFK style ya dig. jelly
Realistic exit wounds would be a nice touch, but with all the fanfare about games like Postal and Manhunt I doubt they'd try to gamble with something like that.
