Kainc
Hi, I found adamb88's vechile audio editing tutorial and I wonder if anyone has made one for pedestrian audio files? I'd like to replace some taunts etc. and I'm using SAAT (Gui). The only thing is that I can't find these files (peds' voices). (I tried searching but didn't find such list, so if one already exists please post a link) Other question Is there any limitations how to replace original sound files? Like audio lenght; does the custom sound have to be exactly same as original? or have same filesize? pdescobar
The SFX directory lists which sound banks correspond with which identifiers (e.g. VOICE_GEN_BFORI). The identifiers are used in peds.ide to assign voices to peds. There is no list of what individual sound files are contained in each bank, but if you're willing to transcribe the 60000+ sound clips in SPC_GA, I'll happily publish it. The custom sound does not have to be the exact same length as the original but the closer your replacement is to the original file, the lower your chances of problems. Kainc
Thanks! Yes, I started to import sound files and realized that there are way too many files, even for just peds, to describe. And since there are, for example, XX number of cop actors with very similar phrases, documenting would be a pain. But thx for the link! (the site is down atm, but I'll get back to it) EDIT The Sa SFX Directory was more than enough thanks once again!
