Kikizo, GameSpot, IGN, GamesRadar, CVG, and 1UP will all pay a visit to Rockstar Games this week to preview the latest build of GTA IV. We will post more details as soon as they become available to us.

Too early? I was at your site today and someone on your staff said something about the previews possibly hitting on tuesday the 22nd...exactly three months before the possible april 22nd release date?

It'd be better if they kept the content in the realm of the privileged till closer to the release date. Like they've been saying the people who read there sites, and post on there forums are idiots. Lets just hope the pecking order doesn't halt or a lot of heads with be going up asses.

Out of all of the things you mention, I'm going to have to go with an early release date. I think that would make me the happiest. Correction, I know it would.

 

All joking aside, I wonder if that was indeed a true statement? I never saw confirmation of that forum post, so it makes me curious. Call me impatient, but I wish a few of these previews were surfacing this week, not next. The information well has ran dry, and I'm ready for a drink.

Especially if it ends up being mid-March. I think we'd all be like, yeah, so what, we figured.

 

Unless the release date is just around the corner I wouldn't call that a 'big surprise' -- and I wouldn't use that terminology if I was going to drop the bomb that the release date was months and months away either. ("Hey kids, Daddy has a big surprise for you! You're getting a pony...... next Christmas!")

No need to get even more impatient now we have something to look forward to. Two days ago we had no idea if we would get an update this month but fortunately we have new information coming next week. So its really not far off.

Who knows but on "Jordans" site he did say the previews will be released next week. So im thinking next Thursday 24th since Rockstar always have a habit of releasing Trailers and Screens to the public on "Thursday" for some strange reason.

Depends on how you look at it. If it were announced as an early February release, then, yes, I'd say that was a surprise. Why? Because most of us expect it to be late March, even late April, and that's if there isn't suddenly another delay. That's not to say there will be another delay, but more of a what if.

The rumor came from the "official" account of one of the journalist of OXM.

In this thread we were wondering why GTAIV figured on 10Th position in the Most Played chart in the last issue of OXM.

 

The journalist replied that one of them before christmas was sent to R* press tour were

he saw GTAIV played by a developer. It's the press tour used to make the next preview that wil be release soon.

 

then he said that(quoting&translating):

 

 

"from a chat between Tommy vercetti and *** ***(the italian journalist) it seems that something it's going to happen"

 

He talked hilariusly 'cause it's his style but the post was serious

 

 

I know ti's not a big rumor but it's better nothing. I think he was talking about the release date

Did he hint at whether it was good news, or bad news?

 

Also, this has been bothering me...how come none of the websites that got this preview, like IGN, haven't mentioned anything about it. You would think at least one of these places would have confirmed this. I even checked some of the xbox 360 IGN editors blogs and usually when they go to studios for a preview, they will at least mention it is their blog. I remember they said they were taking a trip to go see Too Human, a 360 exclusive, but they couldn't post the actual preview until a couple weeks later...how come this situation is any different?

At the press event R* told something to the journalists, something that is a news.

 

The jourlaist that was at event told this at the journalist tha has made the post.

 

I think it's the release date that will be announced soon.

We all know that Journalist were invited to see the fame fora preview. It's a officiale news in the main page of this site.

 

 

There is nothing strange.. because the journalist told us that there is something in the air [cit.] not what.

If you go to www.planetgta.com it says that IGN and a couple other sites have already received their demonstration.
