88survivor 1 Posted January 13, 2008 Share Posted January 13, 2008 When I am playing Vice City, I can't get enough of the beauty of the city. The neon lights, the beach, night or day, the mansions over at Starfish, Ocean Beach, the Malibu Club, the whole atmosphere. When I am playing Liberty City(GTA III or Liberty City Stories) or San Andreas, the beauty doesn't capture my eye the way Vice City did. There was always something grim and murky in Liberty City, it always seemed depressed looking and kind of ugly. Same with San Andreas, there was always smog, fog, or hideous rain...but while I know Vice City is based on Miami, there is something magical and enchanting about Vice City. You could never get tire of it. It is like a fine wine ready to enjoyed yet again. It is something that these other cities lack while Vice City is practically the most romantic and beautiful city ever. 1 Link to post Share on other sites

Although the Dark and gritty atmostphere in GTA III marveled me over too. It had that special feel. SA has that "West Side feel to it, and more pony farming. Link to post Share on other sites

Miami is a nice city, so that makes Vice City an awesome city, as well. If I would like in a GTA city, it would have to be Vice City. Sure, San Andreas was a good game. But, none of the cities were a paradise. Those cities would be a terrible place to live in, especially Los Santos. But, Liberty City isn't all that bad, neither. Sure, it's not a paradise or anything. But, it's based on New York (Which I like). I would have to agree that it is a bit depressing. But, it's still a cool city. Link to post Share on other sites

Steve Crook 6 Posted January 24, 2008 Share Posted January 24, 2008 VC is beautifully created. When compared to the complexity of SA it can seem a bit limited in some ways. But there's one thing that VC does that none of the others seem to do - and that's change the road conditions with the weather. When it rains in VC it seriously affects the way the vehicles react when you do a handbrake turn (as I often do). It also affects the way vehicles travel on grass. Maybe it might not be the most ideal location for a criminal, but the place just feels like one long holiday. Even whacking some low life thug feels apart of that holiday feeling. lol From the sun, beaches, 80s atmosphere, neons etc it's the most joyful bar none. Link to post Share on other sites

On-Topic: Vice City was an excellent game. Was it just me or did anyone else think Vice City Stories was crap? It doesn't have the addictability factor that Vice City has, I have played Vice City dozens of times (to 100% about 10 times) and never get bored of it. It is the game I am currently playing at the moment. I have COD4, PES 2008, Stranglehold, Sega Rally on the PS3, but I just keep playing Vice City instead, it is better than all of these games put together for gameplay! Vice City. Best game ever. Fact.
