Will The bridge be repaired

I beat the main missions and am currently at %50 and he portland, stauton island is not fixed yet ( the callohan brigde?) will it ever be fixed or do I just have to jump it the hole time?

It is never fixed, you have to jump over the ramp every time you want to cross it.

Weird coz was'nt GTA 3 before LCS/ i mean GTA 3 was in the late 70s (i think) and LCS was in the late 90s so how did the bridge get destroyed?

GTA 3 was never officially given a date in game. But there are numerous things that point to it being set then, the teaser Liberty Tree website, the year it was actually released on consoles/PC and finally the fact that LCS was set in 1998 and was said to be set 3 years before the events of GTA 3.

Just to add, the Callahan Bridge isn't completed until GTA 3, although it gets destroyed in the opening movie of GTA 3 and thus you cannot use it until you complete the Portland Story line of that game. Hope this helps.

 

And for the record, the GTA's in chronological order are: VCS set in 1984, VC set in 1986, San Andreas set in 1992, LCS set in 1998, and GTA 3 set in 2001. And when GTA IV comes out it will be set in 2007.

Where did you get that GTA3 was in the seventies? There is no trace of even the number 7 anywhere on the box. Plus even in the radio stations (Flashback FM) they state how the eighties were the best and what they did in them.

I just figured out you actually have to switch lanes to get across the bridge. There is also a subway system that can take you from Portland to Stauton Island, but I never found it on the Portland side......
