Lol i've started adding the chairs this afternoon i'll post a screeny in a sec - might as well use those now. I'll get rid of the tills and stuff though as that'll keep the poly count down on the mesh. had to add a load of tris to make it all solid. should be ready for texturing by the end of the day though. smile.gif

Sweet, well if i send you the Burger Shot .dff (Ind_maindrag1.dff) you can match the interior to fit my exterior smile.gif

This isn't a feature in standard SA, but when I do the cheat VROCKPOKEY to spawn a HotRing Racer in Beta3, I also get given a camera...but I don't see any mention of that in this topic...is it meant to happen!?

yeah i think this is because y and n are coded to give you a camera and a parachute - probably just happening as a result of that smile.gif

 

as quoted in the readme:

 

 

-------------------SCM Keys:-------------------Y - Gives CJ A CameraN - Gives CJ A Parachute

Are there any plans for a Hoods Rumpo/Burrito XL? I have some nice ideas. biggrin.gif (and yes, I can model/texture to an SA standard)

And as for any ideas, none as of yet as i havent got round to that vehicle yet, once i have finished the normal rumpo then i will do the hoods rumpo, i want to base it abiton the vc Burrito, i liked that car smile.gif

do SA interiors work the same as the older series or are they actually inside the buildings now? if that's the case then the models pretty much spot on but if they're inside it's gonna need tweaking slightly - i'd managed to get the model almost perfect to M57's exterior without even trying haha. biggrin.gif

The SA interiors are in a different 'universe'.

Like, if you fall down an interior you'll fall until you hit ground, and all you're gonna see is grey and black.

If you fall down in the outside world, you'll fall a bit and then spawn back near the spot you fell from.

yeah they work the same way as they used to then. wasn't sure if they'd changed it these days that's all. i'm not fussed how it gets used in all honesty mate, i don't mind scaling it if needs be it'd just be easier to compile and do it the "normal" way smile.gif i "obtained" max last night because the lightwave dff tool didn't have an import feature. still gonna use lightwave for modelling though and just export to obj for max and then max to dff - longwinded process but needs must! sigh.gif

I think this is better too, because it feels more 'real', to enter a room without going into a small yellow triangle and black the screen down. orly.gif

Thats pretty cool.. where did you get that from?

I made it of course. tounge2.gif

 

I spent about a minute drawing it by hand with a ballpoint pen, then scanned it in and spent 15 minutes colouring it in Photoshop. Added brick texture just for the looks, but obviously it won't be on the van itself.

Funnily enough, even the one with the ellipsis worked for me.

 

At the beginning I was like "OSHI- this looks like a bad link."

@Monitor57: Walk-in interiors for the win! GTAIII LC takes up so few polies that you have plenty to spend on walk in interiors without putting much of a strain on your computer. I would love to use Burger Shot as a vantage point to massacre cops out the window.

 

Speaking of massacres, if you enter ZIP, all the pedestrians run into one corner when you fire your gun in the air, so you can kill them all. biggrin.gif

yeah i do think the walk in interior's a better idea - it's just a bit more work that's all. i was planning on being lazy and doing it the "traditional" way. now it's up to M57 to decide who's doing the work.

Sa developers would add this feature by themselfs, if it could worth it

I think there would be many work with scripting...

But anyway, it would be very cool )

In SA it doesn't rain under bridges or in tunnels, so I'm sure there is a straight forward way to solve this issue.

Yeah, the collision (.col) stops it from raining inside. It doesn't happen in Garages and Tunnels, as epoxi already stated.

If .cols are what stops it raining, does that mean that even if you're 100 map units beneath something directly above you, it still won't rain? Or is there some kind of distance range SA processes?

I dont honestly have any idea what makes it stop raining.. i believe its 'Cull' but im not too sure..

And as for the Walk-in interiors, i agree that some places like shops should be walk in, if they arent a very big building it doesnt really have any effect on the gameplay, whereas for the bigger buildings like safehouse apartment block etc it will be traditional style wink.gif

I never realised how easy it was to import a car from GTAIII to SA! No wonder you get so many n00bs doing it in vehicle PP&C.

 

Apart from the obvious wheel and specular lighting problems, all I have to do now is SA-ify it!
