Would you have liked three games instead of one?

I once re-imagined GTA:SA as 3 games, because there are three cities. In GTA1, San Andreas was just based on San Francisco and was a city, not a state.

 

Well, how I re-imagined it:

 

GTA: San Andreas, based on San Francisco, takes place in the late seventies.

 

Maybe the main character can be a Russian (were there Russian mobsters in the USA in the seventies when there was the cold war?). Released in oktober 2003. San Andreas consists of 3 islands. Here’s we’d see lots of Russians, Triads, …

 

 

GTA: Los Santos, based on Los Angeles, takes place in 1992. Main character would be CJ, but would look and act more like Vic Vance. No Eating, no girlfriends. Released in april 2005. Los Santos consists of three parts: Ghetto, Business and Vinewood. There are also the badlands with little villages outside town and a desert (Mojave). Will also focus more then just gangbanging.

 

GTA: Las Venturas, based on Las Vegas, takes place in 1995. Main character would be female. Released in april 2006. Contains a huge desert outside Las Venturas, as well as Area 69. Lots of mafia in Venturas.

 

Would anyone have liked to see SA as these three games?

Why buy three games that tell a story when you could just buy one disk that tells it fine.

I rather dislike that idea, you'd have a much smaller map (unless you're saying that each city is as big as San Andreas now)

Also, they kinda have to make the game in Islands, to allow the story to progress without the player going to certain places. In addition, the game is 'San Andreas' so it makes logical sense to do all three islands.

 

On Los Santos, you said no eating or girlfriends....that just based on your own oppinion? (or would it be relevant to the story somehow?)

Map would be far too small, and for the female character.. it just doesn't seem right.

I wouldn't like the female character part, but if the three cities would be as big as SA then it might work except there would probably have to be islands. And it would be cool if you had data on your memory card from any of the three games and you had another one you could get unlockables or money. Like this:

Los Santos(first game on memory card)--San Fierro(other game on memory card)=Hunter and total police bribe (to get rid of all wanted stars) in LS by CJ's home, and Rhino and an asset on SF by Doherty garage.

All three games=Hunter; Rhino; Hydra; all police vehicles; and a unique, strong, and fast car that you can only get from all three games on your memory card spawning around your starting location on the game.

You get the point, get rewarded for having the other games on the memory card.

However, three seperate games most likely wouldn't of worked anyways but could of been interesting if done correctly.
