Not that bad, nows the time to scoop up some cheap Rebel XT/XTI (350D/400D) before they are replaced with this. I am also happy that they improved the grip on the rebel series. Thoughts guys?

Oops, sorry if I had offended you with that...I fail at geography, big time.

I should be getting a load of new photo's back on moday, so that should be good. And i'll develop the one I took of the big wood spill aswell, so we can probably haver them by Wednesday biggrin.gif

I see what you mean also with the camera straps, but its been really good seen as it has lasted 26 years. smile.gif

Ahhh, the wood spill! I wanna see THOSE ones xD

And you didn't offend me, I was, like, joking =)

Lol @ -maddog-, so it never happened?

My new camera never fell off anywhere, but if it did, and it was damaged, I'd get quite desperate. It is nothing compared to your equipment, but it costed some big bucks...

Oh, did I ever tell you that I use a W7, from Sony? It's the best camera I've ever had. Manual mode, macro, big display, compact enough... it suits our needs well.

Ah good good, I worry too much with stuff like that, especially if its an international thing because you never know how the other person feels. smile.gif

All the wood spill photo's will be in black and white, but a mate I went with says he got his developed the other day, so i might pinch a few off him tomoz.

Opportunity knocks once in a lifetime, temptation will lean on the doorbell.

@ the camera strap topic, oh sh*t, I'd die if I dropped my camera. I seriously went nuts when my little brother set it down 1/4 inch off the table lol.gif

@Jigga, I love that first one! Great timing. The rest are really good too, all so crisp and clear.

@Sixdust, thanks for the info. Sounds like a great camera. 12.2MP is quite a damn bit.

I took my dad's (technically mine now) Canon EOS 350D Digital yesterday. Took some pictures, started playing ( tounge.gif ) with the focus. Today, I took one of two Lenses.

Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM

It was excellent. Good zoom, focus. I was holding 1 grand in my hand (hey, it rhymes biggrin.gif ). Made some images, and here is my masterpiece.

The camera is really, really good. Resolution is 3456x2304 wow.gif. If I had a monitor like that...

You better take excellent care of that lense. An L lense is the best of the best lenses that Canon makes as well as most expensive. Be sure to be very careful with it.

I figured I should post this since it helped me understand on what creates noise in photos. It helps to know this stuff!

"What is...Noise"

edit: Talked to my grandma, and she is going to spot me $200 for that lens! Cant f*cking wait!

Hmm, that sounds interesting, I'll definitely give it a look over.

And congrats on the lens there, it's got some good range and it's an L series lens so my guess is it's good. I hope you did some review hunting to make sure though first. $450 is quite a bit for a lens, for a hobbyist at least.

I was going to hop onto a shuttle to campus today when I saw this weather. Had to take some photos of it.

It is put together from about 7 photographs. So hopefully I did an alright job at piecing them together.

I didn't spend too much time trying to blend them up other than fitting them in where they matched and doing a standard fade.

Weather wise, let's just say that I live in Southern California and we went a whole week with just heavy rain and storms. Which is something that almost never happens down here. We usually only get a day at a time of "heavy" weather. These storms made me remember how it was living up in northern California.

A bit off center, and it could have used some more light. But I like it, (basically) symmetrical pictures, especially of architecture/structures like these always looked good to me.

I'm guessing you're liking the new camera? smile.gif

yeah i am enjoying it. biggrin.gif

I couldn't help the off-centerness. it was really just a very quick snap and I'm glad it came out as well as it did. A little more light can be done if I added some effects in photoshop, but the image came out well for having no manipulation done to it. Thanks for the comment!

Well, due to economic complications, I wont be getting the lens until April for my birthday. Which is better, since I'll be able to get it brand new. And it wont cost me a dime! Yipee! Thanks for shooting that down, mom. sigh.gif
