Wow, so its nation wide that they treat the recycle box's like sh*t? Their such wankers. Tip and throw.

Good image though.

They sure do. For a hefty £3 something an hour they should treat them with more respect, the bastards!

Not sure about you guys, but half the south just got a delivery of free, large wheely bins. biggrin.gif

They'll still treat them like sh*t though.

I've just started to have an interest in photography and I'm planning on getting myself a good camera and I was just wondering what you guys would recommend a beginner to buy for his first camera?

Also, I've taken a few shots by pinching my mums digital camera and these are two images I took while on my holiday in Fiji (image size too large to post); 1, 2.

I've taken a lot more since then but those images have not yet been uploaded to the current PC I am using. Anyway, what do you think? Good for a beginner?

P.S. I was using a crappy camera.

They're both really good shots, Ya Mum. At least you actually have a camera to take pictures, all my shots are took with my 3.2 megapixel phone. I'd enter one of those into the photography contest aswell. icon14.gif

I was going to but I'm not to sure if they'd be accepted as "reflection". Sure there's water which reflects objects but the image isn't really focused on the reflection of the water but instead of the scenery. But if Hell No comes in here before the competition is closed and says that they are acceptable then I'll enter one in.

[EDIT]

After looking at the entries in that topic, some of them are acctually just scenery with water which doesn't really reflect at all so I may as well enter one of them in.

I think I took something along the lines of 30 odd photo's today, and its only 9AM. Then it started raining...f*cking british weather.

Mister Pink
@ThePinkFloydSound: WHAT A SHARP CAMERA! =o

Yup smile.gif I got a new Nikon D80 smile.gif

@piccolini, Gareth Croke:Thanks smile.gif

@Ya mum: Hey man, I would suggest you take a look at a Nikon D40. It's an entry-level digital camera designed by one of the best photographer's camera manafacturing company. They are strong, light, effecient cameras that are very easy to use/learn. Having said that, some general knowledge of photography will be reccomended but there's no point in you buying a simple point-and-shoot digital only to learn you want to do certain manual or 'trick' shots that can be only done on an SLR camera.

Hope that helps wink.gif

Some pretty nice photos you got there flicko. Especially considering it was taken from a 3.2 megapixel phone.

My favourite is probably the one titled 'Pigeon'. The light coming through from the corner looks pretty rad. icon14.gif

Cheers mate, I'm getting a decent camera for my birthday. 12 megapixel digital camera I think, so hopefully I'll have more quality shots. Having said that, you don't need a good camera to take great shots.

Yeah I liked the pigeon one too, the recycle lorry's probably my favourite though, I have no idea why. smile.gif

I've been wanting too, it's been really clear lately, but still too cold. I'm sure there'll be time to get some nice shots in a month or two when it's +30 degrees tounge.gif
