Are those last two also taken with the 70-200? I'm also on the Sony Alpha system and I've been looking into new lenses. I have an upcoming college graduation ceremony for someone I'd like to take shots for, but I've never done that type of photography. It seems like 70-200 would be the natural range for that purpose though..

What camera do you have specifically? Yes, those were taken with my 70-200mm. I'm actually selling my whole setup. Just too heavy for me these days.

I'm using the Sony A7R. I'm going to borrow my friends 70-200 for a little bit and see how I like it.

More street art spotted.  Had to adjust contrast etc via software.  Camera phone has issues in low light.

Sir Michael

I'm on a road trip across the country right now. The Midwest didn't offer much in terms of photography but the Southwest is ripe of opportunity. My next stop is the Northwest, plenty of chances for good photos up there. I gotta get a camera though, I'm only using my S8... Lol

Been kinda down in the dumps the last few days. Went & shot some photos today hoping to clear my head. It didn't work. At least I got some cool shots though. In my opinion anyway...

That's a good starter camera. You should check out the Canon 50mm 1.8. It's super sharp & super cheap. Great lens for the price. People call it the Nifty-Fifty or Plastic Fantastic. It'd be a good lens for you & shooting cars. I've had 4-5 of them. I've only had that many because i'm kinda rough on my gear lol...I've shot with all sorts of different cameras....Canon Rebel XSI, Canon 6D, Canon 5D Mk II, 5D Mk III, Sony A7, Sony A7ii & now for my latest camera my Sony RX10 IV.

I also just followed you on Instagram. If you wanna see some of my work you can check out mine if you'd like. @joe_c523 or my other *abandoned* account that I no longer post on for a variety of reasons @wheelz523

Shot this today @ 600mm. I need to redo the edit and sharpen it up a little. Damn image compression.

Mister Pink

I picked up a Canon 5D classic for  €150. Thought the price was too good to be true (was advertised for €200). It came with a Canon battery grip and 2 third-party batteries. Took a few photos with it, test it out. Took a photo in every mode. Everything seemed fine. Gave the woman the cash. Saw a guy walking a rabbit! Took a photo but then the viewfinder was showing me darkness. I couldn't see anything. So, I took the lens off. And sure enough, the mirror came off! Looked it up and it's a common issue.

I have epoxied it back on and am hoping for the best. If it works out, it's a good deal. Thankfully, I know why it was so cheap. Feel a little burned. Not sure if it was a coincidence or not but doubt it. I'm just glad I know why it was cheap and it's not some other issue.

Took this a couple of frames just before the mirror fell off.. (shot with a Canon 85mm 1.8)

The way I see it, sounds like you got a good deal on a mirrorless camera.

Quick update. I couldn't resist leaving it over night. It works perfectly. Except I really dirtied the mirror or scratched it taking the old glue off. So when you look through the viewfinder you can see a big line and a bunch of fibers. I did try clean it with a cotton bud and some alcohol but it looks a mess. Thankfully, it's not the sensor as the images appear to be clean. I'll post examples tomorrow.

Oh and here's another pic as the camera started to self-destruct as I was shooting..

She's working perfectly! (For now :D) For a camera that originally released in 2005, it sure does hold up. This is practically straight out of the camera. I did add a little contrast. That's all. Shot with a 40mm Canon

Few shots from a local import drag racing even and adjacent show

Taken with a canon eos rebel t6 and a 50mm f/1.8 for the show area, and a mix of the 50mm (80mm in reality since crop sensor) and the meh kit 18-55mm for the track

Mister Pink

Discovered another issue with the 5D classic. It's still good value but I discovered that some of the AF points on one side don't work.

Scenario. I manually choose an AF point. The red light flashes. But it doesn't beep or take the photo.

How that expired Fuji Superia 400 turned out (with the 50mm f/1.8 lens). Bought some new Portra 160 and 400 when I had these developed and scanned.
