Some of those look like they could be Liverpool, Manchester or Glasgow, I didn't realise how similar the cities actually look.

Hmmm nice bike

It really did remind me of being in the UK again, the street layouts and architecture are quite similar, as was the weather that week. Not to mention, it's also one of the oldest major cities in the US, so no doubt that has a lot to do with it looking similar to a British city.

Gnocchi Flip Flops

Man exactly a month from now I'll a brand new Canon T3i with a Hoya Polarizing Filter! I can't wait. I used to whine about my SX600 but I've finally gotten the hang of it and Lightroom + Photoshop helps. I can't imagine the types of shots I'll be taking with the T3i but luckily there's a car show the following day where I can test the new camera out (my birthday is Feb 13 by the way).

That gives me such an eerie feeling for some reason. What are they constructing, though?

It is actually getting demolished. That crane has been used to construct a demolition platform on the top of the building, which will be used to bring it down, piece by piece, brick by brick. It is known as the 'TopDownWay' method. The same thing will happen to it's sister building.

Hmm.. It's been a while, but I do love the odd photo.. As far as composition goes, this is probably my favourite.

I know this is probably against the rules, and I apologize for any offence I cause, It's just that it takes way to long to upload pics to this site, This album has over 20 pictures in it,

Bird album, I'm not finished yet but it's a good start (I recommend clicking on slide show and watching it that way)

http://forum.grasscity.com/gallery/album/6917-birds/

This album Is a mess but these are some nice beach shots,

http://forum.grasscity.com/gallery/album/6903-great-out-doors-n-out-stuff/

I'm not trying to advertise or any of that b.s why would I ? I'm not getting paid ! I'm simply trying to find a platform to share my photo's with people,

so far I haven't had much luck, I really like how this forum has a thread for photo's, it's straight forward and simple but I can't upload 4 pictures at a time, I got hundreds !

for example I want to show you this ''church project'' I've been working on, theirs over 50 photo's ! so I can't upload 4 at a time, it'll take me years to get them all on here,

so basically that's my issue, I want to share with you guys, I've been a huge asshole and I think showing you awesome photo's will be a way to mend fences

so how should I proceed ? I know it might sound ''silly'' but I really like this forum and it's members, it's a really cool group, it just want to give back, somehow :)

You should try and narrow down your photos to a few of your favourite ones. Less is more especially when sharing photographs with others.

I understand however this church thing is something different, I got the idea from gta v, I realized I could see the skyscrapers from most parts of the map, So i began taking shots from a bunch of different locations with the skyscrappers making an appearance in every shot,

The idea is to show how contrasting the local area is, This works even better with a church because of the whole ''gods watching vibe'' and the fact the church is over 100 years old and can still be seen throughout the town despite modernisation

I've gotta believe theirs a real name for this style of photography and it's a thing but i'm not aware of it,

theirs a lot that goes into a project like this, you gotta get exterior shots of the church, interior, then you take shots from the roof showing the town, Then you gotta add all the shots you've taken from around town, Also night photo's

I'm going to be doing this either way for historical purposes, So why not give others an opportunity to enjoy my work ? I'd very much enjoy it if others did the same thing ! i could kick back, smoke some bongs and see a city/town/village throw some elses eyes, I think that would be dope !

It can be hard when you have multiple shots from the same session or scene, but you need to narrow them down to the very best. Nobody likes looking at multiple angles of the same thing, etc.

You gotta keep in mind this is a convict build church and one of the oldest buildings in Australia today, Just the historical significance is huge than you add getting to see a small Australian town and i think theirs enough reason to sit down and watch the slideslow,

This is how I do things, I've already made two movies for personal use, it has a mix of videos and photo's one of which goes for 12 minutes.... seriously, but i think it's dope, i have awesome background music, i'm pretty proud of it too be honest with you but that's never going online because that has private photo's on it,

Obviously im not going to put a lot of Samish photo's in this project, theirs already a lot of photo's as it is, but i'm confident it'll be an entertaining slide show,

plus i can mix it up, have a day shot of the church on one side of it, and one the other i can make it a night shot, theirs quiet a few ways i can break it up, i'll figure it out

I do plan on making this as fun to watch as possible :)

this photo was taken way before the project began but you can see the church in the background, this gives you a better idea of what im aiming for, i want to show you not only the church but the world around it :)

You can include a tonne of almost identical shots if you want, if that's what you're into, but I'll shy away from that. ;)

Speaking of old churches, here's Trondenes Kirke in Harstad, Northern Norway. It dates back to the 11th century, and is pretty f*cking cool - as is the entire region's history due to Norway's first king being from nearby.

Great shot mate, top notch composition.

Thanks for the compliment, though I'd definitely say the previous one with the boat has better composition! I do love that place though, it's lovely.. I was so blessed by the weather while I was there through summer, it was the best they'd had in 30 years. It was that blue - you wouldn't think it's north of the Arctic Circle!

What do you shoot with? I think your shots are nice, but getting some of your settings a little more on point would do wonders, along with a little post-processing. Plus, castles give me a hard-on.

Here's another rando of mine:

They both are spot on I think; I would've easily missed that small shack on the far right hand side on the second one.

I shot that with a Canon 550D. Was in a bit of a rush so I overlooked the settings. As a result, my trusty aperture-priority was still set to f/3.5 since I was shooting portrait right before it, oops.

A very old one-

I'm very guilty of this, and I have actually done this before. I believe there's a few of my old pics in this topic that just have different angles.

This topic has inspired me once more. I have been absent from taking photos of practically anything.. it's just way too damn cold out. Maybe in April I'll make a return with new things to show =)

It looks like split toning, or something to that effect - as in, it looks like a similar effect to some Instagram filters.

ya get me bruv?

Shrug, may as well just continue posting some of my photies here! This is the some folks fishing at night, with the midnight sun in Harstad dipping down behind the hill creating a pseudo-sunset.
