With the new Tamron 150-600 - First shot of a bird that I took. 600mm is a B-word, even with VC hah.. I just got it in the mail today and it makes me smillllllllle

Anybody recommend a certain photo hosting website? Imgur isn't working to well for me. It would be nice to have choices for thumbnails, I don't like to take up a lot of space in here.

Thank you thank you. I'll hopefully get better with the lens as I go. Went on a river bottom drive tonight with my dad and my shepherd. Saw a few whitetails:

 

 

 

Both shot at ISO 6400, the second at a slowww shutter speed for 600mm - 1/125... it was getting dark at that point. This one was closer to the truck though.

And a robin in my parents tree. Had some decent light for this, but still shot at 600mm 1/800 6.3 @ ISO 3200. Should have kicked the ISO down since I had it on my tripod at this point.

 

 

The deer running and this one were cropped decently heavy. I have a lot to learn as far as PP is concerned. I think I've already learned a few things, this robin shot ( the last I processed ) looks better, but that could be due to I actually had some directional light in my favor. I definitely need to learn and keep a consistent workflow.

Just went out this morning. I got a few pretty good shots of some common birds with my 7d.

 

 

These do appear to be a bit over sharpened, I'm putting my 2048px files on flickr and then posting the 1024 so I think that's what's doing it. :\

Turned out pretty well. I need to experiment with settings to find out what's best for shooting the moon/in general with this lens.

These are probably some of the last good shots I was able to get with the D3200 before this shutter issue occurred, which is preventing me from doing anything with it after turning it on. Luckily I have a two year warranty, but I'm disappointed about not being able to use it anymore until I can get it repaired/replaced. This is the absolute best that my camera will do. I wish I could get a quality DSLR like the Canon Rebel T3i or something because my photos just don't pop out. They're dull.

my photos just don't pop out. They're dull.

Try different angles, don't always shoot from your eye level, try something else. Camera is just a tool, you shouldn't only rely on it. Offcourse, it helps to have good gear, but it's mainly up to the person
