Oh sh*t, that's probably the best picture in here yet, imo. I love it, the sense of depth, the colors... everything, it's great! icon14.gificon14.gif

Edmachine, try getting more shots that show where you are. Right now all I see is close-ups, (and no offense, but they're just not that interesting). Try taking photos of things that can excite the eyes, like lets say since you're at the seashore, you could get a shot of some waves crashing. I can't really say what you should get, just try to think about what you're looking at and if you can make it look exciting through photography.

Well, there weren't any big waves, or any taller than my ankle. I did take some photos of the sea itself though, so it's not all close-ups.

Right now, I'm looking outside the window. Blue sky, sunset (almost over), and I see a tree. Would look beautiful if I'd take a pic of it, but there are the damn phone lines! mad.gif

It's not actually that great a photo. The sense of depth you speak of is not really there and sky is overexposed. I do like the buildings though, reminds me of Bond.

Candarelli, thank you.

You're just jealous Jigga tounge.gif

Anywhoooo, got some lenses. It was like $150 for both, so don't go telling me I bought cheap lenses, I know.

They are a Tamron 28-80mm and a Tamron 75-300mm. The zoom distance on the 75-300 is damn good, imo. The only bad part is my shaky hands lol.gif

Here they are...

Can't wait to see how they work.

this image makes me regret that i bought a super zoom digital camera and not a SLR. but if i look how expensive the lenses are, i'm happy with my camera. smile.gif

photos soon from me two. over 1000 photos and over 3gb made in the Casino.

Spooky stuff around there.

@raresh, the interchangeable lenses are a huge plus for SLR's. They can be expensive, but like I said, I only paid $150 for them.

During testing, I found they are slow (both actually, surprised the 28-80 is) at autofocusing, and the 28-80 is actually louder. It had a hard time focusing close up, I'm hoping there's noting wrong with it...

But the pictures come out just as good, if not better than my 18-55mm Canon kit lens. So I'm happy.

@Saget, sounds good icon14.gif

Awesome shots maddog, nicely done! Glad no one was hurt there.

@Saget, nice pictures. That last one with the plane window frame is excellent, as well as the jet engine one, and the one of the entire city from the air is nuts. Where is that?

I've got some shots to post of the snow this morning. For those not in the US, we've been getting hit HARD in the mid-west the past week or so. Today was pretty harsh. I'll try and get them up ASAP.

@Doink, wtf? tounge2.gif

Great photos folks, love that plane window one Saget.

Lol, maddog. I can imagine the scene. You're driving along and you see the Audi. You pull over, get your stuff out and go up to the panicking guy. "Can I take a picture of your car?"

He stares at you.

lol.gif

Ah, I see.

@ the scenario with maddog, that's what I was thinking! I'm sure the guy who crashes was thinking "you motherf*cker, enjoy your pictures..." or something lol.gif

Saget: gotta admit i have a crush on planes myself, now that you brought it up, tomorrow ill go shoot some planes at an airport near me. Haven't taken that many airplane photos, shot a airshow 2 years ago, and always snap some shots when out travelling. But ill try to get some nice pictures tomorrow!

today i haven't made much photos at "work" because the workers ware cutting some walls in the basement (that is the remaining part of the building) and i have discover that i've lost my tripod head and i can't use the tripod no more cryani.gifcryani.gif but i need a simple small tripod so i can "repair" it because i can't buy just that part.

this work makes me lost my "art" part
