I started a game with Wrexham and in my first season I finished 2nd and won the pain trophy and when you consider they are predicted to finish 17th I was quite proud of the achievement. Of course with the end of the season gives me the chance to really shape my squad but sadly I was given no money meaning I had to rely on free transfers and loans, even then I couldn’t get who I wanted (within reason) and have given up on it. I'm tempted to give Cardiff a try too and build my squad around Owen Price, Sam Vokes, Jack Compton, Rhys Taylor, Grant Basey, Ryan Shawcross and other Welsh gems already in the team (Gunter, Parry, etc). If you do go as Cardiff, Gunter turns out really well. Blake and Ledley are also in still in my first team but i cant see them progressing much further. Darcy Blake is actually a really handy player, fairly temperamental, but fairly consistent and a great all rounder (scores the odd scorcher as well) And yeah you wont have much pressure first season..just dont forget our 15 odd million debt. Well, I carried on my game in FM 2007 with chelsea. i've noticed that I'm at the tail end of the season, having won all the major trophies bar the world cup and european championship. They have quiet extensive forums and I'm sure there is someone there that will know how to do it. Failing that try GameFAQs or neoseeker for alternatives. Won my first league game away Spurs 2-1. A mate and myself tried to get network games working for two hours last week and no joy. Its a complete ballocks. Seddo Posted April 2, 2008 Share Posted April 2, 2008 Just played this on the 360 on the demo i downloaded and i've just played my first match and won 8-0 against Homburg, 4 from Torres, 2 from Gerrard, an own goal and a penalty from Riise . My team. gk: Reina rb: Alan Hutton cb: Carragher cb: Agger lb: Insúa rm: Iriome cm: Michael Johnson cm: Danny Guthrie lm: Adam Hammill Cf: Steven Gerrard St: Mark Mccallister and on the becnh i also have David Amoo, Eccleston, Plessis, Hobbs, Highdale and others. I would really recomend to buy Mccallister, I bought him from Oxford United where he had scored 22 goals. And so far for me he has scored 5 goals on 20 apperances, but with alot of assists. He has attracted the intrest of both Chelsea and Newcastle. and Amoo has scored 14 goals on 27 apperances, Eccleston scored twice in the club world championship final. My keyboard almost got threw at my screen there. Playing against Man Utd, was all over them for 90 minutes and was winning 2-1. The ref gives 5 minutes extra time and what happens with 10 seconds of extra time left? Wayne Rooney scores a god damned f*ckING equaliser! I am so f*cking pissed right now. Happened to me at least 6 times a season. Not to mention dominating the game, 30 shots vs 5 shots, and lose it 2-0. Or when your stiker starts to lose all the incredibly obvious chances, or your keeper starts to suck, or their keeper starts to be ungodly.. Any recomendations? check up Mark Mccallister, he is a real gem of a player I'm in my 3d season and Chelsea, Newcastle and Aston Villa all want him. He plays a bit like Torres. Although i had to load it a few times to keep the undefeated streak . Bought a player for Lazio called Goran Pedrov or somthing like that who is pretty good. Tchuck Posted May 27, 2008 Share Posted May 27, 2008 (edited) Goran Pandev yeah, macedonian striker, he's class. Chelsea in my games always go for him and Klose and Aguero. I signed him once as Chelsea, did a nice trident at the fron with Shevchenko, Drogba and Pandev. Lorenzo de Silvestri usually becomes a great player, so does Henri Saivet. Both really young at the start of the game (Saivet is like, 16). There's a serbian player at Fiorentina who becomes class aswell, Kuzmanovic I think. There's also ukrainian Oleg Husyev, who always took over the wing in whatever club I'd play, he's class too. Edit: Reached 4500 total goals and getting close to the 100 cups won. The man of the number 4500 was danish Lasse Mikkelsen. Tchuck Posted May 28, 2008 Share Posted May 28, 2008 Hmm Amauri from Palermo is pretty decent, and usually not that expensive. Also Rafael Sóbis is very good, I used to buy him with lower end teams. Genero Zeefuik from netherlands will also grow up to be good. Those three are the cheap ones. But I reckon you might be able to snap up Goran Pandev, he's worth it as well. I'll look more into it when I get home. The Newcastle thing, I had quit my job at Juve after the 3651 days, and wanted a new challenge, I applied there and Arsenal. Newcastle offered first, so I was like "Hm alright" but when I was appointed, I was linked with a move to Arsenal, and said I'd very much like so, and the board went "Resign or we'll fire you" and so I resigned Too bad for them though, went ahead and won lots of stuff with Arsenal Data editor i presume Nah mate, I don't cheat on this game. So I am with Liverpool in my third season and it hasn't really gone well, I'm meating Man Utd in the fa cup quarter final and if I don't win I'll get the sack. I have already played the match twice but both I times I have lost and gotten fired afterwards(I just reloaded the game).
