Chloe Smith Posted December 28, 2007 Share Posted December 28, 2007 (edited) I just wanted to share my opinion as well as hear your opinions about this nit bit part in the GTA VI second trailer. "No More Killing! Please" I know that it's a nit bit of video to truly analyze, but the blond woman seen in the trailer might have a larger role if she is even featured in the trailer. Now, lets cover the basics, her appearance looks rather young. No wrinkles to speak of right off the bat. The urgency in her voice seems to suggest she is either related to the person she is speaking to or is in extreme concern of the path the "violent" person is choosing. I predict that her part will be minimized to a mere civillian role, but who knows? Rockstar is always the one to suprise a couple of times. Well, you see, I don't really see them "romantically" involved. I think she would opt to be with Niko, but I really have a gut feeling that she isn't. Niko ends up working for him, and this guy "possibly Faustin but i doubt it" tells Niko to kill so much people that he is drawing attention from so many gangs. The mobsters wife "The please, no more killing woman" does not agree on killing people. She tries to escape her husband, and even he gets suspicious of her. He asks Niko to track her down, and he finally does in the Carney Island Amusement Park. She says "Please, No more killing" because she is scared of all the violence of what is happening around Liberty, and the danger of her husband and herself being killed. Slamman Posted December 28, 2007 Share Posted December 28, 2007 Being trailer two is the first glimpse into the plot, I tend to think of characters introduction to be key, or as your main character. There are some obvious ones and ones where the trailer scene is two others characters in a cutscene. My initial perception is she's talking to Niko because as the trailer plays out, and is setup, it feels that way to me. If they are playing with that perception, they could be purposely making it seem that way while keeping more plot details obscure. I read a few people's ideas on the subject of plot, I even dreamed about GTA4 the past week where I had a chance to talk with Peter Fonda about it, just so out there!! Like the Truth! haha Anyway, it's too much to hazard a guess.. I wouldn't try to string the events together because often trailers are setup with a few sequences re-arranged but often still in a forward telling of the full story. I never said she was a total kickass kung-fu queen, I should have worded it differently. Basically what I was trying to say was that she doesn't have to be connected "romantically" with Niko or any other main characters for that matter. She may just be Birdman's daughter and be completly irrelevant to the story at hand. She obviously isn't, but I'm making the point that her involvment is up to anyones interpretation. Now, onto Carbine's theory, I think it's kinda far fetched due to a twenty-something woman being married to a 60-something man, or a mobster at that. I know it's common in the Soprano's but I think we might see a different playing field with this one. She could play the concerned mobster wife role; the worried daughter role, the attention grabbing civilian role, it's all up in the air at this point. We don't even know the gal's name yet. Now, I know that it may seem like this one trailer already has a pretty frickin' huge setup, but this is only a taste of the trailers we'll see in coming weeks if Rockstar wants the hype, that is. I wouldn't expect her to be a main character, but certainly not one in passing and more then in Vice City, we saw main characters in relation to 'our own' more often. I think this will still deviate from a linear story but they also have to relate everything to the key story elements. It's one of the reasons there is argument about Love Fist returning, or other references from past GTAs. I think it's foolish to expect R* not to have any past reference, or even a borrowed movie plot line, but I can't assume much about these characters with the official stream of info thus far. I'd wait to hear more on the actual game, or until it's out and ready to buy and play. I think we'll really only discover it when we play it for the first time. Besides that, obviously Rockstar didn't come up with the original idea of having a pleading woman in their trailer, but I saw a sparkle about this girl. I mean, I don't think gamers would like having a random woman cry to them and have no follow up whatsoever. Err0rz0n, sorry to pester you but I have watched the trailer several times. People have been discussing two likely ways she is involved - a relative of Faustin (the bird guy) or romantically connected to one of the characters. That's all we have to go on at this point. She obviously has a part in the story, but that doesn't mean that she has to be connected to any of the characters in any way. Maybe Birdman is her stalker, hmm?
