Bump avatars to 80x80

As the title says really, how about making the max avatar size 80x80 instead of 64x64. 80x80 is the default size on most forums and it allows a little more detail to be put into them.

Yep.

That is actually a really good suggestion, because there are plenty of avatars I was going to use but can't use because they were over the size limit. sad.gif

I do like my current avatar, but I do agree that the max allowed size for avatars should be more than 64 x 64.

There is the auto-size feature for avatars, you know. Check a little box, and any image you use will be automatically resized to 64x64 for you.

And personally, I like the size where it is. Having 80x80 avatars would make the left side all cluttered and packed with everything.

Good idea.

80x80 will be nice, containing more details etc...

I actually prefer the smaller 64x64 avatars. I never really liked forums that put too much emphasis on avatars with sizes like 80x80 or the ridiculous 100x100. It's just more than I care to see.

Im with Xcomm on this... I do like more minimalistic looks especially since, as cool as you could make an 80x80 avatar, people will make ones that stick out too much.

I'd even like smaller signature sizes too tounge.gif

What difference does it make? Neither you nor Xcomm has an avatar. sigh.gif

Anyways, I never thought that the avatar size was a big deal. I mean it's just a small picture; it isn't your identity. Besides, smaller avatar size makes the forum stand out among other forums. wink.gif

But I think the sig sizes could be wider by 100 pixels, not taller though tounge.gif

Minimizing images down to 64x64 and not compromising quality is not as easy as all that...but I guess I'm used it by now so no 80x80 is not much of a disappointment. But leave the sig sizes alone.

64x64 is a fine size. Look to the left, you've already got your ava, your flag and your group pip thingy. Then you've got a 500x150 sig space, how much more do you actually need to 'express' yourself?

64x64 is fine. I wouldn't think of having them bigger, and secondly you can just resize the picture you would want to use as your avatar, but if it's over limit then it will just resize

I vote 80x80..

Some avatars are 160x160, so you can just squish it by half so you'll exactly half the detail.
