Will overuse of cheat codes malfunction missions

Will the overuse of cheat codes cause the game to crash or not function properly, like in SA? Because I remember in SA if you overuse cheat codes before the mission where you had to save that guy from falling, he would fall way too early and you would that fail mission all the time. And numerous errors in the black screen of death.

 

Will R* fix this problem?

Hopefully, one of the reasons they delayed it was to remove any glitches.

Well this is GTA IV and the technology is advanced I suggest there won't be any malfuction with cheat codes. Also if anything went wrong with the past GTA's they will fix it.

Finally a topic in here worth replying to.

 

I certainly hope the game is as glitch-free as possible, though I wouldn't much care because I like to play through without cheat codes before I use them. This was also good to have in SA because it discouraged cheating the storyline.

I say, it serves the people right who use cheats on missions. They're meant to be challenging, not so you can fire your way through anything without dying.

 

I only ever use cheats once I've finished a game.

It's prob best not to use too many cheat codes. Especially the one's that cause everything to be different; riot cheat, pink cars, girls with guns.

Yeah i remeber that mission i was trying to beat the game the for a second time and couldnt complete it madddog would always jump to early then i thougth it migth a cheat malfuntion im glad taking the time to get all of the bugs out of gtaIV

I don't see how there can be any discussion. Cheats make the game act in a way it was not intended to. You lose the right to complain about anything the second you enter a cheat, since you're willfully and intentionally altering the games behavior.

There is no problem. If cheats mess up the game, don't use them.

Actually, i believe it was only from using the 'Pedestrians Riot' cheat before the saving Maddog mission that made it screw up and not over use of cheats.I must have used thousands of cheat codes before getting anywhere close to that mission when i was messing arond in SA.

 

Which is ok coz who would want to activate and SAVE with the Ped Riot cheat on when it was an irriversable code.

Not only that, but in some cases the save files can corrupt after using cheats and saving (although is very rare, apparently).
