NewYorkMantle Posted December 26, 2007 Share Posted December 26, 2007 i'd rather not. limit it to gangs being either neutral or hostile toward you when you're in their neighborhoods, depending on their relationship with you in the story (like gta3) and keep it at that. it was annoying as hell in saints row when you would have cops chasing you, accidentally run over a los carnales or something and then within a few seconds have gang members chasing/shooting at you as well. It got pretty frustrating at times when you were trying to escape and the gangs would never stop, seemed to be an endless supply of them. I hope that it won't be the same in GTA4. There aren't really enough gang members though I really enjoyed territory pushbacks in SR when there were f*cking tons of gang members that you had to take down. Ceedot, from what I've heard the VCS thing was really messed up and glitchy. I know when I played it whatever gang you had taken a business from would just attack you and your businesses over and over and over again without stop unless you turned the game off and back on... then they wouldn't do anything to you. I thought that was really stupid, then I remember reading somewhere that that was a glitch the game had and that wasn't supposed to be what happened. Sounds awesome to me actually. Walking down the street and suddenly a bunch of dudes start chasing me, and I have the choice of standing my ground or hauling ass. And you should lose them like you lose the police, geting out of the search radius. and if you killed more people of other gangs you should be also search by that guys and the only way to get the respect meter all better again is to pay the gangs big time.I hope is this way cuz then you learn to not f*ck with the gangs and mafia and sh*t...then you learn that is what rockstar talked about:if you do something wrong you have to be ready for the consequences(sorry,really sorry for the english) i hope if you kill many people this happens: -snipers on you -mercenarys -drive by and if you die dont apper at the hospital,instead automatic load to your last save.
