Dzsekszon
Hy! Well, I converting some models, but there aren't any model in the game, as big as my model! So, how can I make custom colision!? I know these things (shamal will be the example): CM_shamal is the colision model Default is the name of the spheres SM_shamal is the shadow model And the way how I made my colision: - I opened the ingame model, and I made a CM model with planes, and set the polys - Made spheres - Export them with KAM's Colision IO But it's crashed in the game! I don't know what's the problem, I tried many ways! Do you know what's the problem? Here are some pictures: The CM model http://gtasarwmod.atw.hu/bmw/tomcat/tomcat_col5.jpg Before export: http://gtasarwmod.atw.hu/bmw/tomcat/tomcat_col6.jpg There are too many spheres, or what? I don't have any more ideas! Or what's the requirement about the colision? I mean poly numbers (for example the maximum is 10.000), about something the ingame model, or something else? And the shadow question is! I use the chassis_vlo (for example) to SM_shamal, put the shadow material with KAM's material script, and export it with the colision? I don't try yet, that was my idea! Cheers
JostVice
My game did crash when I tried for a more than 200 pollies SM, check your polycount. Anyway, your CM looks strange... if i'm sure, you need to have all full of spheres, polies do nothing (on collision) You can try exporting without SM to check if it is that. Dzsekszon
It's about 70.000+ Without the SM model!!! The CM model is about 600+ But I import the original Shamal's colision, and it's about 6000+ polys! My colision has got 320 spheres, yes a little bit much! Well, what should I need to do? Delete some speheres, and make the rest bigger? And it would be less spheres!
JostVice
Dont count spheres's polycount. use all the spheres you can... SM needs to be lowpoly
DimazzzZ
2Dzsekszon: Hey. Your collision is tooooooo wrong I making my projects and collision's plane in max, but original col-file (with these spheres) I making in ZM2 It's not so hard. Import one of the standart SA planes to ZM2. Delete all details from file besides Shadow and Collision. Export your airplane and collision plane(1st screen) through Max to dff, and import it to zm2. After this edit Collision in ZM2 (Move, resize, scale spheres in it) . Also you should make shadow (low-poly) and import in zm2 file too. When your collision will made you should export zm2 project to DFF, like as hydra_col.dff (name is not so important). Your file must contain: Shadow, Collision and Model. After these you can select your hydra_col.dff in max as COL file and export hydra.dff Sorry for my english PS - 320 balls in collision?! Man, I think your plane can contain ~ 20-30 balls See my works in ZM2, and you understand me
Dzsekszon
Thanks! But the only problem is, I can handle the Zmod, where can I move the objects? But, I try something! I use my CM_shamal, and I get a low-poly Tomcat model from my friend! That's SM_shamal! I load the original shamal's col, and use the spheres! Now, there are 37 spheres, but the problem is: the colision io doesn't export the "Default" objects! But I'm happy a little bit, because when I spawn the plane in the game, it works correctly, not crashes when it spawns! But there aren't colision, just shadow, and CM_shamal, that's the only colision! Some pictures: CM_shamal works very good: http://gtasarwmod.atw.hu/bmw/tomcat/tomcat12.jpg Shadow: http://gtasarwmod.atw.hu/bmw/tomcat/tomcat13.jpg Works good, but I must correct it, because there are some blobs and dark areas on the plane! DimazzzZ
Collision should be smaller, then model
