With all fairness Fisher, your English isn't great. I understand it may not be your first language, and I have no problem with you at all. Its just that people around here jump on any scrap of (perceived) weakness or stupidity and start flaming you for it. In reality, they are the stupid ones.

yes, the game must be nearly finish now, but i've stopped waiting a release date. How i see things, late january rockstar will annouce a release date, late february the game goes gold, late march the damn game comes out.

It doesn't take a month to ship the game out to the stores after it goes gold. It usually takes about a one to two weeks for a game to print and ship. Remember Take Two and Rockstar have access to equipment that can print a few million copies in a matter of a couple days. At least that's what my game design teacher told me. But like i said before, I don't think there will be a date until the game goes gold. But since I know Rockstar screwed up royally with not meeting their previous release date, these guys are working to finish this PDQ. So for all I know we'll get a release date for late January-mid March. I dunno why some people are saying April though guess they're pessimists.

They need advertising as well though, so that can take time. I agree that the April release date seems way too far away.

Nah I dont think its done, they are looking for bugs and glitches possibly but that doesnt count as the game completed...

GTA is a very big game, and alot of the little things that happen in it need to be perfected. I wouldn't be surprised if now was just the glitch trial period. Glitches can be anything that goes wrong and if you're considering the epic size of this game, then you will realize 1-3 months of testing isn't unrealistic. Even in one of the previews rockstar showed, a car went San Andreas on them, and started driving like a drunk driver, and Rockstar was shocked when it happened. Glitches like that and other things like mini games, races, stats, saving, using alot of weapons, massive amounts of explosions, their deviance to the game has to be minimal otherwise it's just going to be a Saint's Row GTA. It is important that they take their time, because I don't feel like getting stuck in between a ladder and a building because Rockstar didn't take a week or two more to check for bugs. I'm content with the wait, and it's for the better.

Dude, that's unpredictable AI. It was in fact a lorry driver which swerved onto the sidewalk. I remember reading that in Andrew reiner's preview, so basically it was uncontrollable, not a glitch. the AI system.

and then, when testing is done, they'll release it... and it's still gonna have glitches. Of course the game is mostly done. They're balancing, tweaking, upping the performance and testing everything. That takes long. And btw, people that don't 'feel' that late April release date... don't know how the business works. You best be prepuurrd for that..

Sometimes glitches are funny and make the game better...SOMETIMES. Like when Street Fighter II first came out there was a glitch that when you finished off an opponent they hit the side of the tv screen like it was a wall which wasn't Capcom's intention. I hope that this game is glitch free though because I hated it when peds just jump in front of your car and get killed which adds a star to your wanted level. It was BS.

Problems and glitches are actually found throughout the entire span of a game's development..

I agree most glitches are a bastard but some enhance the gameplay such as that secret universe one in San Andreas. You know the one were you use the jetpack in Los Santos's gym and can go in all the unaccesable buildings from im game movies and the like.

BUT!!! dont forget that this is the era of playstation network, and xbox live! if there are glitches they missed, they can release a patch through these via game update.
