Playing really slow and jumpy on these sh*tty Pcs but I get the idea. It looks amazing. Just like real life. igotapk Posted February 26, 2008 Share Posted February 26, 2008 well, i'm not afraid to think that we might die from gta. what if the black hand got their hands on this game for them it'd be like a simulation. according to how real the a.i. is and how the building can be permanently scarred, maybe even blown to bits. if you know what i mean, but don't get it twisted i still think gta is a good game, but there's been a lot of inventions in america over the years that made us regret that we ever invented it. just w/e it's a thought. One of the first ever black and white silent films had a scene where a train headed directly towards the camera and apparently this had the early cinema audiences leaping out of their seats to avoid certain death. This is laughable to us these days, to the point where we can see huge reality-breaking imperfections in movies & computer graphics made only a few years ago. It will take many decades before real-time game graphics can get close to pre-rendered movie effects, because they continue to move on as well. So in ten years time games will look awesome, but we’ll still be comparing them to something better that’s around. When we look at GTA-IV today you can't help but think "Wow imagine if it could have made with the Crysis engine!". And when playing Crysis I have to occasionally force myself to NOT look at the polygons, as detailed as they are. It's not just about the illusion of photo-realism, it's also about physics and interactivity. When you can drive up to a river in GTA, kneel down, run your virtual hand through the water and see it trickle through your fingers and drip off your skin as a true molecular liquid… then things will start getting interesting! I still need to have money to buy things, I want to enjoy my time. I enjoy the people I work with, the people I attend class with. I need the money to buy my alcohol and what not. I've heard it tons of times (The first in 2002), but I think it'll end up like Y2K, and nothing will happen. 6/6/06 is another example. Lol the 6/06/06. What a day. Nothing happened but this vicar came to our school. Same here; people put extra emphasis on the 2012 date because a- it has not yet arrived and b- the Mayans predicted it hundreds of years ago. Apparently, THEIR calendars ran on a 5200 year cycle (astronomical in origin, the calendar was) and while they themselves have never actually predicted the end of the world, instead predicting a time of 'great change'. Contemporaries have taken that to mean the end of the world. Why are so many people ready to call it quits? I'm in my 30s, 10 years from now, more than likely I'll still be a gamehead. That could be a literal term by then, esp. if Sony develops this new tech which beams data directly to the cortex- no radiation worries? I could imagine the first timers on this new system developed some rare form of brain cancer from constant radiation consumption. In that case, I'd still be a console gamer. I'm also of the mind that pretty soon, there will be little difference between pc and console so the pc fanboys are gonna run out of 'nyah-nyah-nyah-nyah-nyahs' over how much better everything is on a PC. That video is just idiotic, they base the entire arguement on 0 historical fact. Ancient fortune tellers writing on leaves? No thanks. What they are saying that is true is just common sense, that old guy keeps emphasizing something like ''all this sums up to something major happening in the 21st century.'' No s**t. Scary sh*t, though. If that thing happens ever 12800 years, we shouldn't be alive. 2. Wouldn't surprise me if the GFX would be better than life it self. As someone said, Half-Life 3 will look AWESOME, HL2 still has better graphs than most (non-HD) games these days. 3. On that note, I would not want to know when the end of the world is coming; it would make life as we know it, virtually meaningless as everyone would be lookin forward to that day. There are ZERO reported overdoses for weed and ONE SINGLE reported overdose for shrooms, in which case the person ate the wrong type of mushrooms. People need to get educated on their drugs. Weed and shrooms aren't even drugs, they both grow naturally. They both just happen to have some side effects. EDIT: Also, worth the money? An eighth of shrooms costs the same as an eighth of weed. I can eat half that eighth of shrooms and trip for 5 hours. If I eat the whole bag myself I could trip for a total of 10 hours. More time than being high off of an eighth of weed. Don't get me wrong, I love weed, but shrooms are a completely different experience. Plus, why pay for shrooms? You can go out to a cow field and pick your own, or grow your own. It is really easy. sattizahn Posted February 26, 2008 Share Posted February 26, 2008 I think eventually, XBOX and or Sony will develop a helmet, gloves, and shoes that you put on and physically play the game in a virtual like world (that doesn't suck @ss like many virtual games). When I was in Seattle, I played virtual reality Halo, and it was one of the coolest experiences of my entire life. Of course, eventually we may be able to simply neurally connect ourselves to the "virtual game" so that we don't have to actually move and do the actions (therefor destroying everything in our own houses). Whoever invents interactivity of this level will create the next step in the video game evolution, and I believe that's what Wii is [somewhat] trying to do. ....GTA IV ROCKS!!!!!!!!!..... It is really easy. couldnt have said the first part myself but I dunno... I just didnt like the shrooms... I spent alot of the time being scared, and i dont meen real stoned paranoid scared, I mean f*cking FREAKED! I looked down and my shoes were talking, a hedge was staring me out and this stupid irritating, and frightening tune just kept going thoguh my head... I did them in total darkness and silence before and I ended up talking to some old guy with a huge beard. He taught me how to install a car stereo, after I came down I still knew how to install a car stereo (head unit, speakers, wiring, subs) and I installed mine. That was some trippy sh*t.
