ceedot
Well no sh*t. The game's will prob look real by then(most look real now). And every detail won't be missed. GTA was made 10 years ago, and look at what it has come to now.

monkeyman23555
Well moore's law is all about this... It says that the amount of transitors( roughly the processing power ) increases exponentially... and this does actually still apply if we look at what we have 5 years ago and what now. Its quite scary but in 10 years we will live in computer!! Matrix!!!!

Yea, heard and dreamed and wanked to that ... Just don't think it'll ever happen... But hey, once, people thought nano robots wouldn't crawl into their brains and control the world... Which everybody now knows, that they do... Or is that just me?

I mean, like the phrase; 'couch potato'. We will like it so much, we won't get off. Kinda like that guy who played WoW for too long....

Fair point you have got there ceedot, with Headset games, we won't be spending a lot of time in what they call "Fresh Air". Classic 3d GTA's are so original, always will be, so GTA games in 10 years won't be the same.
MrCarmine
Well moore's law is all about this... Its quite scary but in 10 years we will live in computer!! Matrix!!!! yeah moore's law states that every 18 months, the number of transistors on a chip doubles... OR you can interpret this to mean having the same number of transistors on a chip half the size. SO, technology is getting smaller, not necessarily more powerful. the difference between games now and games 10 years from now will be smaller than the difference between games now and games 10 years ago. the main things will be more consistently rounded off edges, higher definition TVs, and more developers and hardware manufacturers favoring PS3-like multi-core architecture to allow for more different things to happen at once. that's another main direction games will be headed in: less on graphics in general; more on ambient and supporting character realism. Gangster07
are you going to be playing games in ten years,I'm 19 and 10 years from now I dont think I will ever stop playin them, there so much better than t.v unless football is on. In 10 years I think GTA will be massive and realistic and maybe we will control the character with more than a joypad,.Maybe online mode will allow 100s of players fight againt each other online in a living city full of people, tracking eachother down. Greatest Thing Alive
I think Grand Theft Auto in the future will be like the movie The Matrix. Where you simply put on a helmet and your magically put in a reality world with other players killing each other and trying to own the virtual world. But the down of this is more suicide cases, more jack thompson wannabes and a LOT of fat people.

Off Topic: Oh and FOOTBALL. I bet in the future it will be like that Football commercial I saw a long time ago where a man was standing on a roller coaster like football simulator. the standing thing looked like this L and you stand up on it and it would then move and a football would fall in your hands and take you into a stadium where you were a running back and a bunch of football players would try and tackle you but the machine would turn and juke all the players which was awesome and the players was so real and it was funny cause the guy was screaming thinking he would get tackled and then he made a touchdown.(I think it was a Nike or NFL commercial). On Topic: Yea I guess I already discussed my opion in my earlier post. Edited December 25, 2007 by Greatest Thing Alive

Don Garcia aka NjNakedSnake
Well the world's gonna end in 2012, so we won't have to worry about 10 years from now on. But should we still be alive, games will probably look better, who knows. We'll probably be in the post-next-gen era by then.

As for '2012', that's interesting to say the least. In fact, I'm officially a cultist now. Forget virtual reality, I'm off to the desert. I sure hope those aliens will listen to reason.
