Yeah, it's a really good gun but hasn't got a high rate of fire so it's difficult to kill someone when you are really close by to them.

It's up for everyone, for the wekend, C&VG website confirms it, although many on there are asking if it's COD4 by mistake, but the new playlists are already on COD4

Rifles are only good for Hardcore, There to hard for Normal, you might aswel just use a Bolt Action without a scope.

 

I will prestige all the way hopefully, it's always a task i'd hate for CoD5 to get boring.

Are you high? Rifles are great in any mode, as long as you have a fast trigger finger, you can win agaisnt people who have an SMG most of the time.

 

And will this double XP mess up the servers anymore? I played CoD4 yesterday after giving up with WaW due to me not being able to connect to anything, and you can get straight into games on 4 as well invites to parties actually working.

 

I'll probably end up trying the double XP weekend anyway.

 

EDIT: I just read that Team Tactical is back! I loved that mode, along with Merc TDM, which i didn't mind either.

Rifles are good in Normal, but you can absolutely rape with a Ghewer in hardcore. One hit kill, no recoil, tons of kick ass attachments... it's just unbeatable.

Told you. It's fairly silent, it has a high reloading time, largest magazine of all the handguns (they all have seven rounds except the Nambu, which has eight, and the Magnum, which has 6), and all the handguns have the same power excluding the Magnum.

 

Works best in Hardcore. No pesky radar, so the silence of it really comes in handy.

Jesus, I just played the worst match of hardcore war I think I've ever played. Long story short, we were the Nazis, they were the Red Army, it was Upheaval, they flanked the f*ck out of us. Every member of their team flanked us, then camped in our buildings. They forced us into their spawn, and never tried to capture.

 

The match ended in a draw. We couldn't capture (even when I threw smoke, they threw random grenade after random grenade), and they didn't want to capture. I was so f*cking pissed, I think the highest scoring member of their team had around 70-something kills. I don't mind camping, but when EVERYONE camps in the ENEMY'S buildings... that's just f*cking weak.

Just wondering, but what's with all these guys and their RANK clan tags? Does 360 have it too? They're everywhere, and all they do is beg you in Domination games to just capture B back and forth and get points.

 

It bugs the hell out of me, but it's great how they flip out when you don't follow their rules.

It's not really a good example of what Hardcore War is usually like. Most are turned away from the idea of random grenades because of their teammates that are trying to capture. But since no one was capturing on their team, they had no worries.

 

I absolutely refuse to play War on Cliffside, though. So tired of people just camping in the Mausoleum and never capturing.

EDIT: Got it. Flamethrower and carbine is well worth getting to 65 for.

 

I personally will not go prestige. I'll like my nice weapons and flamethrower

I found the flamethrower absolutely useless, it took so long for it to start up once you'd pressed the fire button that you'd already be dead by the time the flames went out.

Yes, but on PS3, not everyone has a headset, the 360 comes with one, so most people can't really say "i haven't got a headset".
