I never liked Overkill period. The pistols can dominate if you know how to use them (aim, tap trigger few times, gain points). If you're playing Normal, stopping power is a must, and if you're doing Hardcore, Sleight of Hand and Camouflage are much more useful.

Yeah, i learnt to use Pistols on Modern Warfare, The only reason i use OverKill is simply for Weapon challenges. I'll type out my Classes when im next on WaW, can't remember them off the top of my head.

Second Chance is indeed annoying. Personally, I like the idea of being able to revive teammates, but only being able to do so once. After that one time in Second Chance, you go straight to death. Then again, I'm also one of those people that believes the person who put them into Last Stand should get the kill, rather than the person who finished them off last. A lot of people have disagreed with me, but whatever.

 

Also, I can't get enough of Hardcore War. I've usually got a 20-10 ratio while playing it.

Damn, why do I suck so much in this and any FPS game? In COD 4 I couldn't get more then 10 kills most the time. In WaW the most I can get is like 14 with like 18 deaths. Don't get me started on Halo. Maybe I should just hang up the FPS's and stick to other games.

Hmm, try a completely different approach, if you usually sit back; go on the front line with a silencer. If its the other way around, Use a sniper and camp out somewhere.

Perhaps you should try a different gamemode? Search & Destroy is more of a take-it-slowly game, try something more rush-friendly, like Domination or Capture the Flag, or even War.

Doesn't matter, even if you're a newb to the game you level to level 8 in a day.

I always have a silencer on my MP40 and I do that. When I kill someone I move around a bit because usually someone comes around to check. Also the rush works for me, because the knife is my best weapon. I can sneak up on anyone.

I used to do that on COD 4 and it worked but doesn't work at all for me on WaW. COD4's sniper is easier to use, and the maps are better suited for them. I like to camp out in the grass in my ghilley suit but it's impossible on COD WaW, you have to find high ground and that never works for me.

 

 

@Pat: I play objective matches because I am not that good at deathmatches. I play Capture the flag, and sabotage. I don't play free for all cause I suck at those and I don't play hardcore because the way I play isn't ideal for that mode, I die at least 20 times in that mode. I'll just stick to sabotage, because it's really the only thing I'm good at.

Yeah, but when your running to a sniper spot and an enemy is quite a bit in front of you with a machine gun... your dead unless you can no scope.

 

But I do use stopping power, jeez, one shot kill anywhere on the body aslong as the dont have Juggernaut (A.K.A Juggern00b)

I played some Co-op and Free for All with a mate today offline. It was pretty fun.

 

First in Co-op I dominated in terms of points, even though he had to revive me 3-5 times more than I did for him. The way the screen splits is f*cking stupid though.

 

Then we tried Free-For-All, I beat him by a few kills the first time, then he put Headshots only on. He talked up this 'cheat' he knew on how to get easy kills. We start the match, find each other, and he rushes me and attempts to melee me. He misses and I fire my gun at point blank range into his head. His 'cheat' involves kniving someone in the head. So over the course of the match he desperately tries to kill me, and I kill him in every way possible, with my rifle, with my pistol, with his rifle, with his pistol, with a rocket launcher, and to rub dirt in the wound, I knifed him for the final kill.

 

Was a blast though, thoroughly enjoyed it.

It's amazing. I try to get the Challenge for a 5-1 kill death ratio, I finished with a 6-0 and it still gives me the challenge! Thanks activision & Treyarch

My K/D ratio is usually just above 1 but today I kicked ass like never before. I went 37-2, 34-14, and something like 31-12 on Team Deathmatch. That's insane for me. I think it was just the fact everyone on my team and their team sucked so I took advantage. I was using a Double-Barrel on Dome, Type 100 on Upheaval, and a STG44 on Cliffside.

Was playing on Seelow today, and the enemy team was whoring the f*ck out of the tanks. So I go up to one, start f*cking around on the right side of his tank so he can't shoot me or run me over, then one of his buddies shoots me to kill me. Wasn't the best idea, since it took out the tank I was standing beside as well, and got the person who shot me kicked for teamkilling.

 

We were the Nazis, and we actually won. I think that's the first time I've ever played on Seelow where the Nazis have won (then again, it was also my first time playing as the Nazis, and I've never lost on Seelow).

 

Also, got my STG-44 while taking out tankwhores on Outskirts. With Double Tap, that thing is unstoppable. I'm never going prestige, I just can't imagine playing without it again.

Prestige isn't fun anyway. When I was at the first rank (prestige 1), I was just garbage. Picking up the Thompson for the first time in years felt weird. Was so used to the PTRS-41 and my MP40. Now that I'm at Rank 54, I feel like going into Prestige 2 will be just a chore to get by.

 

At least you get more slots for your classes. However, I wish there was a reward when getting to Prestige 10 other than a lousy achievement. Ray gun anyone?

As for prestiging, I thoroughly enjoy it on CoD4, but even just ranking up on WaW feels like a chore, let alone prestiging and doing it all over again.

Why does everyone love the MP40 so much? I used to, but now that I use it more, it just jumps about everywhere and really lacks what I thought it had.

I'll probably prestige since I never got to it in CoD4. Shame there's no decent rewards besides custom slots. But, I need those, so why not?

Agreed, playing this game with rifles sometimes is a real pain in the ass when everyone uses SMGs. Although once you get used to it, you can take anyone out with a rifle easily.

Rifles are only good for Hardcore, There to hard for Normal, you might aswel just use a Bolt Action without a scope.

 

I will prestige all the way hopefully, it's always a task i'd hate for CoD5 to get boring.

I agree about prestige. You spend you time leveling up 11 times (1 normal, 10 prestige) for a crappy achievement

Also, I just noticed that the STG + telescopic sight is total rape, though I don't have the level to unlock it yet
